and call him a **ing idiot?

He also posted them 1st class recorded and lost me money on the P&P Angry.

He says he was just trying to help - but really - a call to check if I'd been paid wouldn't have been amiss surely - he knows how the system works.

I am just so angry - imagine if the buyers hadn't paid - sod all chance of them doing so once their nice new items turned up 1st class post tomorrow.

YANBU! I am a fellow ebayer and would be very unhappy in your situation! As you say, no chance of payment if they hadn't already!

Catsmamma · 13/09/2012 20:27

so they have all been paid and you are just cross?

Just ask him to mind his own business and move on!

WAD · 13/09/2012 20:28

Yes luckily they had been paid for - but the point is - he didn't know that. I am beyond cross. He's always meddling claiming he's trying to be helpful.

TidyGOLDDancer · 13/09/2012 20:30

Let it go.

He tried to help you. The poor guy didn't mean to upset you so much.

So yes, YABU. It was a tiny mistake, if that.

McHappyPants2012 · 13/09/2012 20:32

i would write you a glowing responce for super fast dilivery :)

PunkInDublic · 13/09/2012 20:32

YABU. He was trying to do something nice for you.

WAD · 13/09/2012 20:32

Hmmm - maybe I am losing my perspective here - but it could have lost me a lot of money. He doesn't seem to appreciate this - or care. It's the principle I'm annoyed about.

BanoffeeSplitz · 13/09/2012 20:33

YANBU
Although - tbh if I recieved an item before I'd paid I'd be a bit "Eh?" but I'd still pay up.
And - if he paid 1st class recorded out of his own pocket, surely that's his problem not yours Smile

WAD · 13/09/2012 20:34

But Punk - if someone tried to do something nice for you that could have lost you £££ - would you still think the same?

Would anyone not be a tiny bit annoyed? Confused

jellybaby25 · 13/09/2012 20:34

WAD Only a fellow, avid ebayer can understand!!

WAD · 13/09/2012 20:35

Bannoffee - bless you! Glad there are still some honest people out there!

OP posts:
WAD · 13/09/2012 20:35

Yes Jelly - think you're right!

Portofino · 13/09/2012 20:37

I would very annoyed if I HAD lost out, if I hadn't I would mutter a bit, and point out he was not to do it again.

WineGoggles · 13/09/2012 20:37

YANBU. OK, he was trying to be helpful which was nice of him, but he could have at least engaged his brain. Hmm I get very irritated by thoughtlessness, however well intentioned.

PunkInDublic · 13/09/2012 20:38

To be honest, no. This is your DH! It turned out ok, lesson learned. As long as he accords you the same courtesy when you make a little muck up then let it go.

Katiekitty · 13/09/2012 20:40

How would you/he have got the address to post it to if you hadn't been paid?

Don't you only get this with a received payment?

Confused
WAD · 13/09/2012 20:41

I never make muck ups that could cost DH £££. And if I did, I wouldn't be afforded any courtesy!

By the way Punk, I thank you for your replies, and I did ask - so all replies gratefully read, I was just surprised that's all.

Iggly · 13/09/2012 20:42

YANBU

i would have been annoyed!!!

squeakytoy · 13/09/2012 20:42

I never wrap anything until it is paid for and use PayPal postage via eBay as I once made the same mistake and was also lucky that my buyer was honest.

jellybaby25 · 13/09/2012 20:43

@Katie No you get the address as soon as the item ends.

WAD · 13/09/2012 20:43

Katie - no - you receive the address as soon as the item has been sold. (even if payment not yet made). At the point the item sells, I wrap the items (rather dangerously it seems) and leave safely (so I thought) awaiting payment.

Maybe I should have posted in the ebay section.

WAD · 13/09/2012 20:44

sorry jelly - x post!

Katiekitty · 13/09/2012 20:45

God, shows how much attention I've been paying.

But! I am ruthless when it comes to my payment spreadsheet!

WAD · 13/09/2012 20:45

So Katie - AIBU?!

SoleSource · 13/09/2012 20:46
