But

AIBU to think Boris Johnson is bloody excellent! I find him hilarious and think every city needs a Boris?

OP posts:
ProudNeathGirl · 10/09/2012 16:33

I love him too!

Nancy66 · 10/09/2012 16:34

I thought he spoke brilliantly just now.

LaurieFairyCake · 10/09/2012 16:35

Seriously? Hmm

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 10/09/2012 16:36

He is fab - I love him.

Can you imagine if the awful Ken had been up there instead?

Sirzy · 10/09/2012 16:36

Yup I love him to!

WhatYouLookingAt · 10/09/2012 16:37

It's not really an aibu, is it?

And please don't make my post about a politician be about politics? Hmm What should it be about, fluffy kittens?

LaurieFairyCake · 10/09/2012 16:38

I honestly think a trained monkey on a unicycle would be applauded after the Olympics.

the Olympics has been amazing - they could have got Thatcher on to say that and we'd all have clapped......

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 10/09/2012 16:39

Boris is brilliant. Always been a fan. Hope he is PM someday.

ScarletLady02 · 10/09/2012 16:39

He's good Mock The Week fodder and that's about it...

ExitPursuedByABear · 10/09/2012 16:40

He is an astoundingly clever chap.

TheEnthusiasticTroll · 10/09/2012 16:41

he is a twat and a fool and terribly over payed for making himself look like so.

how can this not be political or turn political, you are not only comenting on him as a person you feel every city needs a boris, that opens up a political debabte about his functions.

cantspel · 10/09/2012 16:41

Love love love Boris and hope he one day runs for pm.

SydneyB · 10/09/2012 16:41

I find this oh so disturbing. This summer has made Boris because he's good at a bumbling charming exterior which is kind of what this whole thing has called for. Beware the bumbling interior, though, if he gets anywhere near government, which people now seem to think he will. Sad

LaurieFairyCake · 10/09/2012 16:42

Yep, he is razor sharp.

Which makes his act 'oh look what a jolly jape this is now I'm stuck on a zip wire' utter genius.

if he becomes PM he'll be munching on poor people with a glass of nice Chianti and people will be as conned as bastards.

adeucalione · 10/09/2012 16:42

I feel proud every time I see him on TV representing London - I particularly like it when he is bumbling, scruffy and almost incoherent (which is often) because I imagine everyone around the world going WTF??? I loved it when he waved the flag in Beijing, when the Olympic baton passed to London so to speak - no other nation on Earth would vote for such a buffoon!

LadyBeagleEyes · 10/09/2012 16:43

How can this not be a political post?

marshmallowpies · 10/09/2012 16:43

For me it's a case of, Boris becomes PM, I'm emigrating.

Unfortunately DH likes him so I don't think we'd ever agree on this...

MadBusLady · 10/09/2012 16:44

No, he's awful. Ken's awful too. It makes me furious when I think of my city being permanently carved up like a fiefdom between those two egotistical twats.

squoosh · 10/09/2012 16:45

YABU to start a thread singing a politician's praises and tell people not to turn it into a political post. Confused

People who dislike him intensely often do so because they hate his politics.

I despair at the amount of people who fall hook, line and sinker for his rehearsed Bumbling Billy Bunter shtick.

Flisspaps · 10/09/2012 16:46

He shouldn't be in charge of anything more important than a bag of jelly beans, how he is Mayor of London is beyond me. I wonder if people voted for him because he's someone everyone can point and laugh at, rather than anything else.

Yes, you know that it's going to be entertaining watching him, but I for one don't think entertaining is necessarily a good trait in a politician.

MadBusLady · 10/09/2012 16:46

That title is pure flamebait, by the way Grin

adeucalione · 10/09/2012 16:48

I like his politics too, and think he's good for London - so all of that packaged in a comedy exterior makes me love him.

threeOrangesocksmorgan · 10/09/2012 16:48

I like him, don't care what his politics are

SydneyB · 10/09/2012 16:50

How can you not care what a politicians politics are??

sugarice · 10/09/2012 16:51

I like him but could he really ever be serious enough to be PM?
