seeker · 12/09/2012 14:46

Would the Boris For PM brigade please tell me 3 of his policies please.

LadyBeagleEyes · 12/09/2012 14:47

OmG did he really say that about Liverpool and Hillsborough Shock?
Well I hope that is quoted all over the media after today's news.
Grin at Tweasels.

Ilovecoffeeandchocolate · 12/09/2012 14:52

Oh look, it says here that politician A has a rock solid plan to end all poverty, give the NHS a gazillion pounds, make people pay the right amount of tax, put loads of money into education and give those lovely children who worked really hard the C in English they deserved.........shall we vote for him?

No as that promise will be broken on day one as clearly impossible. Labour tried that and look at the mess we are in.

LadyBeagleEyes · 12/09/2012 14:54

Surely that's what all politicians should be aiming for Ilovechocolate, whatever party they're from.

BoerWarKids · 12/09/2012 14:54

I take it you're not from Liverpool, OP? Hmm

YABU.

I wonder if he will apologise?

seeker · 12/09/2012 14:55

So, Ilovechocolate- Boris's policies?

Tweasels · 12/09/2012 15:02

Ilovecoffeeandchocolte. Do you also love Port and Cheese?

You've missed the point, but of course politicians from all parties make promises and fail to keep them. It is one thing having an ideal, but a totally different thing delivering it amongst other global difficulties.

Surely though, like ladybeagle says you would want those things?

Or maybe not.....maybe you are Michael Gove.....

Thymeout · 12/09/2012 15:02

Thankyou, Vag! You've made my day.

No wonder Dave was so enthusiastically on side in his statement today.

Vagaceratops · 12/09/2012 15:05

Lets see - Boris's policies

As a MP, Boris voted strongly for the Iraq war, Strongly against the Hunt ban.

Sounds like a stand up guy. Lets make him PM tomorrow.

ClippedPhoenix · 12/09/2012 15:06

In fact i wished id been there with a catapult to hand aimed squarely at his goolies when he was dangling from wire during his stoopid olympic stunt. Misogynistic fool.

Ilovecoffeeandchocolate · 12/09/2012 15:09

Boris's policies for the last London election were to create jobs, more police on the streets, invest in businesses, reduce the mayor's share of council tax, stop the 3rd runway at Heathrow and cut city hall waste.

seeker · 12/09/2012 15:13

How's he doing with that? He certainly managed to turn London into a ghost town during the Olympics- was that on his agenda?

BiddyPop · 12/09/2012 15:24

Funny, I can relate Boris to fluffy kittens all too easily :)

NotAnAxeMurderer · 12/09/2012 15:25

It's both frightening and depressing how people love Boris for his shambolic muppet act.

I'm sure we're only a few years away from a reality TV government where politicians and high court judges are elected in a Big Brother House scenario. Only the thickos who 'like Boris cos he's funny lol' will end up voting. And the British idiocracy will be fully realised.

ClippedPhoenix · 12/09/2012 15:31

Oh and scissors to cut that ridiculous scruffy "floppy" hair.

An aged little lord fauntleroy is a pathetic sight to behold.

seeker · 12/09/2012 15:33

I can't decide whether it's mor dangerous if people think he's stupid or if they think he's amiable. He is, of course, neither.

ClippedPhoenix · 12/09/2012 15:38

Oh yes, he's very clever manipulative man that's for sure.

Ilovecoffeeandchocolate · 12/09/2012 16:17

I also thought his speech at the parade was really good and spot on for the event, not often have I heard a crowd chanting the name of a politician

squoosh · 12/09/2012 16:29

Yep, Boris Johnson certainly got to reap the rewards of being Mayor during the Olympics. Did he mention in his speech at all that the reason the Olympics even made it to London was due in no small part to Ken Livingstone?

Lilylightfoot · 12/09/2012 16:30

Try Boriswatch

Vagaceratops · 12/09/2012 16:37

They are his policies - has he managed to achieve them?

JamieandOscarSittinginATree · 12/09/2012 16:44

Sorry, can't be arsed to read the thread. I fail to grasp how a thread about how great a politician is will not stray into discussing politics

JamieandOscarSittinginATree · 12/09/2012 16:45

squoosh - OH yes, after these events a whole heap of people get the limelight who don't deserve it

FreudiansGoldSlipper · 12/09/2012 17:38

i don't doubt Boris will be pm one day :( the thing that goes against him is himself one day we shall all tire of his act as many voting or who will vote for him or like him seem to have no idea of what his politics are
