WIBU - involves dog shit, a 4x4, and a disabled parking bay...

Inspired by the other thread ...

Bank holiday Monday so we go to a localish country park for a nice walk.

All fine and lovely, but upon returning to car park, there is a big dog having a big shite right on the corner of the disabled parking bay where the yellow lines are . If you were getting a wheelchair out, you would go straight through it if you didn't notice it.

Dog belongs to miserable looking snooty woman driving a mahoosive land rover thingy, who just watched the dog do its business and then called it to follow her off down path leaving shite, not a trace of shame.

I am getting increasingly sick of ignorant people and especially ignorant people in big 4x4s etc who think they can do what the hell they want.

So waited till she was out of sight, got a carrier bag and deposited the shite onto the lovely shiny bonnet for her.

Totally inspired by the cream thread ... We are making a stand!

5foot5 Could yours be from a fox?

ErikNorseman · 27/08/2012 17:30

YAnbu!!! I despise dog shit leavers.

maytheoddsbeeverinyourfavour · 27/08/2012 17:32

I think what you did way fair enough op, if I'd seen you I'd have been Grin too

I have massive dogs who do massive poos and I'll admit I have been tempted on occasion to do the old trick of sticking dog poo under the car door handle when someone (without a blue badge) has parked in my disabled bay. I haven't of course and I wouldn't,but ooooh sometimes I'd really like to Blush

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 27/08/2012 17:34

YANBU to be v angry.
you would not have BU to have put the bag on her bonnet if you had been SURE it was her car.
YABVVU to tip it on to her bonnet.
Lovely example for your children too. Hmm

  • A dog owner who always picks up their dog's poo.
diddl · 27/08/2012 17:39

I think that leaving it on the bonnet not in the bag was utterly disgusting.

But I assume you´ll always do this in future-not just to snooty women with a 4x4?

deepbreath · 27/08/2012 17:40

YANBU. Dd has got dog muck on her hands and sleeves after accidentally wheeling her wheelchair through it, and she can't self propel very far because of how she is. After sorting all that out, I then had to scrub it out of the tread of the tyres too. Envy

CurlyKiwiControl · 27/08/2012 17:42

Zombies there is no way my 4 year old would go near dog shit and pick it up, even if her life depended on it - she won't even take poo nappy in a nappy sack belonging to her brother to the bin for me.

My Ds is 8 months so I would be more worried about him trying to eat it than copy me

So I think im safe on both fronts Wink

I think you did everyone a public service. Well done Thanks

Now what public service are you to provide tomorrow??? Are you going to challenge speeders, check ID's in the local co-op for cigarettes or hand out condoms in the local dogging spots??

Well done again - keep at it ;-)

SoupDragon · 27/08/2012 17:45

The shit was her property, the bag was not. Thus the OP has returned the shit-woman's property without making a gift of a bag.

Vandalism? Get real.
Gross? Not as gross as leaving it on the floor.

YouOldSlag · 27/08/2012 17:46

Zombie- I disagree. If the dog owner can't be arsed to use a bag why should the OP make life easier for the offender?

BTW Zombie- well done for being a responsible dog owner, I genuinely appreciate it when I see people pick up and often thank them as I have 2 small DCs.

CurlyKiwiControl · 27/08/2012 17:46

Diddl read deepbreath post below you

Now that is disgusting.

And anyway, it being disgusting was kinda the point. I wasn't picking it up for her just to be nice.

(I had a bag and was trying to avoid above situation for someone)

OP posts:
TunaPastaBake · 27/08/2012 17:47

Let's hope this wasn't in Essex - 'Lion shits on 4 X 4 '

Good one OP ! ( from a poo picker upper dog owner )

SoupDragon · 27/08/2012 17:47

Great example for the OPs children? Yes, a few actually:

  1. don't leave dog shit on the floor, clear it up .
  2. Always return other people's property to them
  3. Don't leave carrier bags hanging around.
Youcanringmybell · 27/08/2012 17:47

I am starting a chant

5Foot5 · 27/08/2012 17:48

RuleBrittania "5foot5 Could yours be from a fox"

TBH I had not considered that but I think it unlikely. I don't think we have a fox problem around here - I have never seen one nor heard any of the neighbours mentioning foxes.

CurlyKiwiControl · 27/08/2012 17:54

youcanringmybell sarcasm is the lowest form of wit. Thanks for the Thanks they smell nicer than the shit.

That list is great, so many possibilities.

Hanging around dogging spots handing out condoms - inspired.

Now you meantion it, the car park is quite rural, maybe it is a dogging spot, so I could hang around picking up shit and handing out condoms, killing two birds with one stone and leaving me more time to challenge speeders and check ids at to co-op Grin

OP posts:
cinnamonnut · 27/08/2012 17:54

YANBU, I really wish you'd hung around to see her reaction!

tazzle22 · 27/08/2012 17:56

I am kinda in two minds on this ...........

one bit of me ( even though I have two dogs and a 4 x 4 Wink) is Grin GrinGrin cos I pick up my dogs poo and get so grrrrrr with those that dont do for theirs . I have been known to use my bags to pick up dog poo and put it back on owners property ( including cars) as well !!!

however

  1. I hope the "snooty" bit was not just because of the 4 x 4 Wink
diddl · 27/08/2012 17:58

But as I asked earlier-why not give her the bag.

If she had already walked away & knew he dog was crapping, it was obvious from then that she wouldn´t pick it up.

Do you think finding shit on her car will make her pick up in future or just check that no one has seen her?

SoupDragon · 27/08/2012 18:00

But as I asked earlier-why not give her the bag.

As the Op says i did not challenge it at the time because I was with my 4 year old daughter and 8 month old son, my parents also. The woman had head phones in. I didnt fancy a slanging match in the carpark in front of them.

whatinthewhatnow · 27/08/2012 18:03

yanbu. It's disgusting. I suppose rightly you should have spoken to her about it, but I like a bit of stealthy get-back, personally.

Youcanringmybell · 27/08/2012 18:06

I didn't mean to be sarcastic I promise!!
I am genuinely supporting you - I was trying to provoke a national MN movement in setting things right out and about...

I guess I need to work on my humour. Sorry.

meetupmisery · 27/08/2012 18:07

Great stuff well done op.

I once followed out of my bedroom window at a women telling her to 'get that dog off my garden' the women had already been politely asked by my neighbour. The huge turds stopped.

I asked the postman politely to stop dropping the red and white bands near our house the post is secured in, I have found three in past week, now I'm about to flip my lid at him goller

CommaChameleon · 27/08/2012 18:07

That doesn't make any sense though.

The woman might not have responded with a slanging match anyway but the OP did fancy wiping shit all over someone's car in front of her children and parents and thinks that's preferable to offering someone a bag?

diddl · 27/08/2012 18:07

So three adults-and not one could give her a bagConfused
