WIBU - involves dog shit, a 4x4, and a disabled parking bay...

Inspired by the other thread ...

Bank holiday Monday so we go to a localish country park for a nice walk.

All fine and lovely, but upon returning to car park, there is a big dog having a big shite right on the corner of the disabled parking bay where the yellow lines are . If you were getting a wheelchair out, you would go straight through it if you didn't notice it.

Dog belongs to miserable looking snooty woman driving a mahoosive land rover thingy, who just watched the dog do its business and then called it to follow her off down path leaving shite, not a trace of shame.

I am getting increasingly sick of ignorant people and especially ignorant people in big 4x4s etc who think they can do what the hell they want.

So waited till she was out of sight, got a carrier bag and deposited the shite onto the lovely shiny bonnet for her.

Totally inspired by the cream thread ... We are making a stand!

Why didn´t one of you get out of the car & give her the carrier bag so she could pick it up herself?

OnlyWantsOne · 27/08/2012 17:06

Someone near me draws round pavement dog turds with chalk and writes furious messages beside them.

That's actually epic.

I'd love to be a one of those mums who set up their own company following mat leave - im due back on weds and dreading it.

What should I call my company ... any ideas, answers on a postcard TIA Grin

YANBU. When will dog owners realise they have to pick up their dogs shit??

The op was doing her a favour, at least she does not have to bend to clean up the poo now.

aquashiv · 27/08/2012 17:12

Oh dear but the old wagon will just fling it on the floor wont she.

theodorakis · 27/08/2012 17:13

Not ok. Twattish thing to do, should have massaged it into your shoulder chip instead, it may have helped.

BulldogDrummond · 27/08/2012 17:15

It's a pity the window was not open for the OP's use. The driver might not have noticed until somewhere along the road.

Tuttutitlookslikerain · 27/08/2012 17:15

YANBU. Well done OP. I would have loved to have seen her face when she got back to the car!

CurlyKiwiControl · 27/08/2012 17:16

I love AIBU.

Witty theokdorkis

I dont see how massaging shit anywhere helps anyone - apart from into the lovely shiny bonnets of knobs who dont know how to pick it up.

Oh, I have come this close to going out with little cocktail umbrellas to stick into every turd on our street - Grin at 'cheerful and shitty'.

Smearing it all over windscreen is MUCH more aggressive and bordering on vandilism, never mind would turn my stomach, but bagged? On the bonnet?
Inspired! I am still Grin

Purpleprickles · 27/08/2012 17:18

Grin OP I salute you. Hate dog poo being left for others to step in. Went for a walk with my parents this week to lovely woods near them. There are different walks through them but no bins. The rule for dog walkers there is to flick the poo into the undergrowth due to the large number of poo bags that were being left around. Do you think people did that? No they couldn't be bothered to flick, just left it on the pathway so I spent the majority of the walk yelling "Stop Poo!!!" at ds. Angry

BigHairyFlowers · 27/08/2012 17:18

Unreasonable would have been stealth smearing it over the pedals. Or checking the boot for excellent wellington boot/driving shoe shaped hiding places.

PacificDogwood · 27/08/2012 17:19

vandalism - oh flip, sorry

ClogDancingCarrot · 27/08/2012 17:19

Love it. YANBU. My lovely Dad picked up someone elses dog poo from a play area to stop mine and other kids running on it.
Irresponsible dog owners make me Angry

YouOldSlag · 27/08/2012 17:21

OP you are soooo far from being unreasonable that I piratically want to Interflora you.

I've had a guts full of people thinking their dog shit doesn't affect anyone and their right to own a dog and let it shit everywhere trumps anyone else's right not to have to dodge it.

You possibly saved a wheelchair user from getting dog shit on their hands and wheelchair.

I find no cause to criticise your behaviour.

toomuchmonthatendofthemoney · 27/08/2012 17:23

Well done OP. no Yanbu. She deserved it.

LilyCocoplatt · 27/08/2012 17:23

Good for you OP, I'm another one fed up with dog owners who can't be arsed to clean up behind their animal.

CommaChameleon · 27/08/2012 17:24

I hate pet owners who don't clear up after their pets as they give us all a bad name, and the cream thread did make me smile, but really I don't think your stand is a good one.

I don't like the thought of cars being covered in cream and dog shit for every perceived slight or piece of bad behaviour by their potential owners.

As you say, two wrongs don't make a right and I doubt she will change her behaviour because you did something as disgusting as that to her car.

I came home once to find someone letting his dog shit on the grass verge outside our gate. We have small paved bits at intervals along the grass verge but only wide enough to let one person out of the car and onto them, so depending on how we park either the front person or rear passengers have to step out onto the grass. He was just about to walk away when he realised we were parking, so he came back to pick it up.

He was embarrassed, I was a bit pissed of because we get a lot of abandoned shit on that verge. I told him that he was welcome to use our bin to put the bag in and then told him to use the bin at any time because it was better than having people leave it all over the grass for my toddler son to stand in or me to clean up for them. He was very embarrassed and I'm sure he, via the medium of his dog Grin , was responsible for the majority of the shit on the grass outside our house.

The problem has pretty much gone now and I'm sure it was more effective to be polite, offer to let him use the bin and remind him that someone else has to clean up after them than it would have been to chase him down and throw it at him.

Dog shit offenders wind me right the fuck up!

HermioneE · 27/08/2012 17:26

YWBVVU not to have made sure you got back first and waited for her so you could tell us her reaction. Grin

valiumredhead · 27/08/2012 17:27

Revolting!

5Foot5 · 27/08/2012 17:29

YANBU at all. Very well done.

On our estate the front lawns are all open - no fences or hedges at all. We regularly find a dog turd deposited right in the middle of our lawn. Some selfish sod must know their dog is doing that and just let it get on with it. Unfortunately they must do it at a time when we are not in or not up because we have never seen it happen. If I did see them I would be very tempted to follow them home and, when I knew were they lived, I could then take the dog shit and leave it on their door step with a note to say "I think this belongs to you"
