I don't know why this bugs me so much. It's not like I'm that bothered by the royal family, and I don't care about this either - he's not hurting anyone, and it's his business. But if a princess were caught naked at a party I think there would be Olympian slut-shaming, with others tutting sadly, and saying she had low self-esteem or perhaps some sort of mental health problems. A prince, and it's all "boys will be boys!" Nudge nudge, wink wink, isn't he a scamp! Dontcha just love him!

Hard to say as its totally hypothetical. Beatrice doesn't do a lot and generally doesn't get great press. On the other hand, Harry, William and Zara don't not do a lot and generally get sympathetic press.

I think it's more realistic to compare how Zara would be perceived in this situation than Beatrice. Public perception of her is closer to Harry than Beatrice is (excuse the crap grammar, it's late).

On op, I think you probably are right which is a pity although I agree Zara would receive less negative (if she wasn't married) so that's a step in right direction.

But to last poster - we don't fund this lifestyle. And 28 is still v young. I was single at 28 and had a good and responsible job. But I got drunk, and naked, inappropriately in many an occassion.

My experience is also that young army officers do tend to take the work hard play hard rule to the maximum. I have some good memories to prove it but if any of the army men I knew had been Harry, well let's just say any pictures would havd been v interesting!

My view is this sort of thing is largely based on envy, so if Beatrice was criticised more it's because there was even more envy going on. It'd also be interesting to see if she was more criticised by women or men.

That's what i find hard to understand. I do not really give a shit what he does in his private life but think he should realise his position in society comes with great responsibility as well as great privilege. And that means understanding that he cannot just do what he wants like this [as perhaps one of us can] and not have it commented on and potentially calling the Royal Family into disrepute.

I guess it's the same as one of us being in a responsible position with some status is society [say a leading barrister, a Dr or High Court Judge] playing strip billiards, having it photographed and then displayed on facebook for our superiors to see...

Did look up the pictures online and they are pretty harmless, his Crown Jewels () are hidden, the most you see is his bum and legs.

exactly WillINever, I'd be horrified if this sort of thing came out about me in the job I'm in (luckily Im not high profile enough) and if this had happened when he was 17 I'd accept it was immaturity. But by his age most men have grown up, taken on responsibility and consider how their actions affect their family and their reputation.
