So I sorted out the family wardrobes and placed the items in various carefully selected charity bags and placed them outside the front of the house. On coming back into the lounge there is a women stood in my front garden pilfering items from the bags (mainly baby clothes and bits). Anyway I go out and ask her what she on earth she thinks she is up to and to return said items as what she was doing was theft and trespass. She reluctantly handed the items back and I said I was more than happy for her to purchase the items and then money go to the charities in question.

She asked how much an item and I said 20p for the vests, 30p for the babygrows (there were some still with the labels on) and a £1 for everything else (about 60% had the labels on and cost a lot more than a £1). She walked off muttering.

WIU to refuse to let her take the items for free as they were things we no longer wanted. I felt that it was paramount to theft from the charities we had chosen not to mention from us.

I have lavender scented woodshavings for my chickens

catgirl2012 · 22/08/2012 19:06

My goat sleeps on a bed woven from the fine hair of Cath Kidstons own pubes, scented with the bitter tears of middle class disillusionment. And gin.

Yanbu she is a brazen hussy!

Why does the OP keep mentioning emile et rose? Are we all meant to be jealous? Stealth boast much?

DoesItComeInBlack · 22/08/2012 19:37

I've never even heard of Emile et Rose, but I'd have thought the bint was cheeky even if the bag had been full of Primarni specials.

PicklesThePottyMouthedParrot · 22/08/2012 19:40

I thought she was pointing out the woman knew which labels were expensive and going for them?

I'm seeing the light today I am! I'm feeling peaceful.

ScooseLooseAbootThisHoose · 22/08/2012 19:42

I ask as this is the second thread the OP has mentioned emile et rose on Confused

atacareercrossroads · 22/08/2012 19:43

ScooseLooseAbootThisHoose · 22/08/2012 19:46

Ha you never know she seems to love John Lewis, doesn't she realise Harrods is far superior Grin

Yummymummyyobe1 · 22/08/2012 19:56

Thank you for your posts everybody. There is no backhanders per mention it is currently my favourate baby designer apart from the obvious designers. Harrods is lovely and we do on ocassionally purchase items from there but it 's hardly on my door step.

Hey OP have you seen the Sarah Louise stuff? I have a dd but they do lovely little boys clothes too and it's all hand smocked. Much nicer than emile et rose Grin

MainlyMaynie · 22/08/2012 20:00

www.harrods.com/children/baby-boy-just-in

Shop online? Though of course the store is so handy for picking up the odd watch at Tiffany at the same time.

Yummymummyyobe1 · 22/08/2012 20:02

We have some of this seasons Sarah Louise it is to die for all the little white rompers. They are meant as christening outfits but are ideal to play in. Have you also seen Coco?

Yummymummyyobe1 · 22/08/2012 20:05

Thanks for the link MainlyMaynie I hate Burburry so chavtastic I'm afraid. Although the baby Dior and Armarni is lovely. If we shopped online we would be back to square one with deliveries.

I find coco a bit too similar to emile et rose. Annafie of London clothes are also lovely.

Yummymummyyobe1 · 22/08/2012 20:08

ScooseLooseAbootThisHoose I will have to take a look at Annafie. Do they do Boys clothing?

How about this? D&G sheepskin coat

I know it's in the sale but it's still nice if you're on a tight budget.

thepeoplesprincess · 22/08/2012 20:12

Oh FFS! Some of you alleged lefties are even more fucking offensive to the poor than the right wingers.

We're not in Dickensian London y'know. Raising kids on benefits may not be the life of Riley, but it isn't anywhere near so bad that people are forced to raid fucking bins to clothe their kids. She was a thief FFS. YANBU.

ScooseLooseAbootThisHoose · 22/08/2012 20:15

They do little boys romper suits which are very cute .

Yummymummyyobe1 · 22/08/2012 20:15

OP, do you mind saying what area you're in? I quite enjoy a good charity shop rummage and it seems that there might be some good bargains coming up near you soon.

Yummymummyyobe1 · 22/08/2012 20:24

I would love to Crocodilio but it might out me to people in the area Smile
