nowadays seem to believe that all hair on their bodies must be waxed off entirely.

I know some people say they prefer it but IME young girls ALL seem to think it's normal to be totally hair free. WHY??

AIBU to think this is terribly sad that they are put under this pressure to wax it all off all the time.

I'm certain a lot of them remove more than that. Just trimming would still leave visible hair at the edges of kinickers/swimwear.
Thats brilliant if they actually do only feel they need to do that but that is definately not the norm.

Kayano · 18/08/2012 19:25

99% of swimwear is cut to expose the pubic area

Like 99% of statistics are bullshit to backup your point of view?

HmmOK then

BeeBee12 · 18/08/2012 19:27

Wear are you buying your bikinis? I live next to the beach and none of my friends wax but dont have their pubes out.How high cut are their bikinis Confused

Kayano · 18/08/2012 19:28

I don't know a single woman who idolises a porn star either Hmm

Krumbum · 18/08/2012 19:29

What does that even mean. I was using a turn of phrase not a real statistic, obviously.
But go into any shop! Any shop and you will see that nearly all the underwear and swimwear is cut so that pubic hair would be visible. Are you disputing this? Do you not go shopping?

Debeez · 18/08/2012 19:29

Kayano. Your reply made me think of a quote.

Statistics are like bikinis. What they reveal is suggestive, but what they conceal is vital. Aaron Levenstein

BeeBee12 · 18/08/2012 19:31

I dont think its true I have new look, primark and next bikinis I wear them nearly every hot day in summer months and none are that revealing.

Krumbum · 18/08/2012 19:31

Then why is jordan so popular, tv shows, products, modelling?
Jenna janeson's book was a new york times best seller:

BeeBee12 · 18/08/2012 19:35

Im not saying some people dont do it but its like boob jobs some people have them but far from everyone.

fartattack · 18/08/2012 19:35

OP posts:
Debeez · 18/08/2012 19:36

No, that's google.

Groovee · 18/08/2012 19:37

Dd has horrible armpit hair like I did at 12. My mum wouldn't let me shave and I had horrific bullying by other girls about it. So I allow it to be removed. She's happier and so am I!

Debeez · 18/08/2012 19:38

Also when I was younger my bush didn't go anywhere near my thigh. I could have worn one of those high leg things while being natural. Only now I'm old and hair is coming in places I didn't know I had places that I wouldn't wear a high leg.

Krumbum · 18/08/2012 19:39

Debeez you are not all women.

Debeez · 18/08/2012 19:43

No, but I am an example of one. I did not say when girls are young their bush doesn't touch the thigh. I said mine.

Same as the bikinis and underwear you have been viewing are not all underwear. Would you prefer a shaky statistic? At least 1 in 7 billion peoples pubic hair does not touch their thigh.

AGilchrist · 18/08/2012 19:44

Hang on, I don't wax and don't have any pubs sticking out of the side of my bikini.
i would live to know where people get 'all' or 'most' from

All the teens I know do not was their bits and are horrors about how much it would hurt and cost to keep up.

Krumbum · 18/08/2012 19:47

Waxing isn't the only way people hair remove. Shaving and hair remover creams exist too.
Debeez go into a shop! Any shop. Look at the swimwear. See that most of it is cut like that.

AGilchrist · 18/08/2012 19:47

krum sorry but I have just been away with my mu. And sip. None of us wax but all had swimwear like your link. No one had pubs on parade.

AGilchrist · 18/08/2012 19:49

A Japanese friend of min once told me Japanese women don't get bikini lines. I didn't ask to look so don't know if its true, but if it is there loads of women that don't.
As my friend is Japanese can I record it as fact?

AGilchrist · 18/08/2012 19:50

I haven't been away with mu. And sip.
I HAVE been away with mum and sil though. :)

Krumbum · 18/08/2012 19:50

Whats mu and sip?
I would have pubes sticking out. So would my mum and all my friends. One friend wouldn't but if she moved at all she would.
I don't mind if I can see pubic hair. It's fine. But swimwear like that does make a lot of women feel they must hair remove if they want to swim/beach.

BeeBee12 · 18/08/2012 19:51

I agree all my friends dont wax and wear those bikinis without flashing pubes
