Just wondered what peoples kids do while they are on mums net. Some people are on here an awful lot even on sunny days when they should be outdoors.
I really am not judging- just curious.

I liken my MNing to reading a magazine.

Its amazing how quickly you can hammer out an ill-considered paragraph of drivel as a snap response to someone's OP.

It's not like watching telly or reading a book that takes concentration.

My dog. She is 11 so well old enough to babysit. I even leave her in charge to out for the odd evening.

Inneedofbrandy · 15/08/2012 19:49

usualsuspect · 15/08/2012 19:49

Sparklingbrook · 15/08/2012 19:50

Tee2072 · 15/08/2012 19:51

Wait. You're suppose to feed them?!?! Confused

Petsinmyolympicpudenda · 15/08/2012 19:51

Yes a giant catapult to make sure he lands far enough from the house.

Don't want the little bugger coming home early and interrupting my mumsnetting

GnocchiNineDoors · 15/08/2012 19:51

My dd is in bed eating quavers

Benign neglect is healthy.

Nagoo · 15/08/2012 19:52

Alan is a very good cat name.

My cat has proven he just can't hack that level of responsibility.

FallenCaryatid · 15/08/2012 19:52

'I also assumed everyone had little kids like me'

I did have little children, they got bigger. Why did you assume? Haven't you been around for long?

Propermother · 15/08/2012 19:52

I shall take my well deserved plate of Biscuit and put myself on the naughty step for thinking mums net was for new mums (like the bounty packs).

Wheresmycaffeinedrip · 15/08/2012 19:52

KittyFane1 · 15/08/2012 19:52

Some defensive responses here!
I MN when DC are busy playing, watching a film or have friends over. As others have said, people have DC of all ages, those with over 5's are less likely to be needed all of the time! :)

Debeez · 15/08/2012 19:53

In all seriousness I use one of these, really helps you get the MN hours in.

ChaoticismyLife · 15/08/2012 19:53

Tee apparently so. I feed mine if they have what I'm having, if not they feed themselves and help themselves to my freddos, the sods

maras2 · 15/08/2012 19:53
