Just wondered what peoples kids do while they are on mums net. Some people are on here an awful lot even on sunny days when they should be outdoors.
I really am not judging- just curious.

Kids? Shit I knew I'd forgotten some thing. Thanks for reminding me Grin

I mostly use my phone when he's having a bath or when he's watching lazy town - kill me now!

If he interrupts me being on MN by wanting something silly like food or attention then I lock him in the cupboard like Harry Potter! Paha Angry

Glittertwins · 15/08/2012 22:08

I hope you aren't suggesting stalking now ;-)

SarahStratton · 15/08/2012 22:08

That's the civet coffee I want to try. Not posting in Education, even I'm not that daft.

ThisIsNotHoneyDragon · 15/08/2012 22:09

didn't do Harry Potter any harm

Tee2072 · 15/08/2012 22:09

Okay, everyone stop being fun...I really must go to bed!

SarahStratton · 15/08/2012 22:10

Harry Potter posted in Education?

NigellasGuest · 15/08/2012 22:10

Have not read the thread, but just for the record YANBU to ask this question and my reply is that my DCs are truly awful creatures and I don't want anything to do with them so I just sit on the laptop all day trying to blot out my life.

MammaTJisanOlympicSumoWrestler · 15/08/2012 22:10

ThisIsNotHoneyDragon, show us then!!

WorraLiberty · 15/08/2012 22:10

MsNobodyAgain You're a far kinder woman than I am Grin

MsNobodyAgain · 15/08/2012 22:11

That coffee was on the Australian version of 'Border Control/Nothing to Declare' the other week. They let the coffee through but not the glass jar containing the unprocessed beans.

Tee2072 · 15/08/2012 22:11

How did Harry Potter get in here? Confused

Really...bed...but I'll be back from a portable device...

MyinnergoddessisatLidl · 15/08/2012 22:11

Yes that's the one I was thinking of!

Wolves! Silly me. That's what happens when you let your grandmother manage your upbringing and education. She could only drag 13 o levels, 5 a levels, a BSc and an MBA out of me. The lazy caah!

ThisIsNotHoneyDragon · 15/08/2012 22:12

xpost
being locked in a cupboard didn't do harry potter any harm

and

I think the op should post her opinions on the 11+ in the education topic, she is obviously very intellectual and will enjoy the debate.

Glittertwins · 15/08/2012 22:13

Hmm, I think I might have posted in Education before now. I don't think I got too scarred by the experience nor harmed the more sensible ladies though. Back to safer ground here though ;-)

ThisIsNotHoneyDragon · 15/08/2012 22:14

Oh dear. Posting your credentials never goes well.....

Glittertwins · 15/08/2012 22:15
  • even with an overdose of the word "though", sorry about that!
ThisIsNotHoneyDragon · 15/08/2012 22:17

S'alright Glitter, we're all thick as pig shit here, you're among friends. Except the op, she's clever.

Glittertwins · 15/08/2012 22:19

I really should go to bed now, my poor little brain is worn out

MyinnergoddessisatLidl · 15/08/2012 22:21

11+ wouldn't be pertinent to my life, my DS is in a bi- lingual International school in Switzerland, studying a combination of IB and the Schweizer Matura.

But he could tell you where to get off in English, Hoch Deutsch, Schweizer Deutsch, and French. he uses many languages to beg outside the local Aldi for food

Tee2072 · 15/08/2012 22:22

Aldi? So posh!

MsNobodyAgain · 15/08/2012 22:23

before I leave for pastures more intellectual

Can you point the way please? I feel in need of a graze on pastures new. Fankyouverymuch.

TalcAndTurnips · 15/08/2012 22:25

Tee - now I do hope you are in your jim-jams and tucked up in Bedfordshire?

BrianCoxIsUpTheDuff · 15/08/2012 22:26

ahahahahaaaaa!

Poor OP.

This thread is brilliant.

FWIW I have spent most of the last week here, because - my child is on holiday, I'm off sick and it's easy to MN lying down.

Oh and I get to have very intelicktual conversations about stuff wot matters.

Tee2072 · 15/08/2012 22:26

Actually, I'm brushing my teeth, Talc.

I've been in my jams since about 7!!

MyinnergoddessisatLidl · 15/08/2012 22:26

I know honeydragon but nobody drags my beloved nan into question.

And she started it first.

and I'm so old I'm amazed and pleased that I can remember any of my qualifications
