To think that no one will ever vote conservative again

At least in anyone in living memory of the current government and their immoral targeting of the most vulnerable members of society.
I voted conservative at the last election to my eternal shame, I won't make the same mistake twice.

niujlo things can only get better they can only they can only get better

Hahahahaha

Denise34 · 09/08/2012 16:37

You can't just keep building more houses because the ones we have are full up. What happens when the new ones are full up? Build even more? Where does it end?

flatpackhamster · 09/08/2012 16:39

Mrbojangles1

niujlo things can only get better they can only they can only get better

Hahahahaha

It was true. After Labour things could only get better.

yellowraincoat · 09/08/2012 16:40

Denise34, then we start building underground. And then we keep the people on benefits there so they can drink blue WKD and have Sky TV.

Probably a few on here that would quite like that, actually.

AxlRosesLeatherTrousers · 09/08/2012 16:42

I've never voted Tory and never will. Sadly I have this awful feeling that they will get in again. Labour haven't got a fucking hope in hell with Ed Wet Miliband leading them. Sad

NovackNGood · 09/08/2012 16:46

vulnerable |ˈvəln(ə)rəbəl|
adjective

politically correct word for feckless scroungers. Often used by left wing loons to describe anyone and everyone who should get something for nothing. Not to be confused with those genuinely in need of assistance or destitute

Origin 17th century latin vulnerare, to wound. which is what they do to the rest of society.

hoodoo12345 · 09/08/2012 16:48

Even my FIL a 70 year old life long Tory will never vote for them again, he is shocked by the cruelty he has witnessed since they came into power.

Mrbojangles1 · 09/08/2012 16:51

Denise34 exctaly some one i know has 5 chikdren and has been rehouse 3 times by the council every time she has a few more children she gets re housed the oroblem wit h social housing is that the majorty is taken up by the same people

Somone gets a one bed then with three years they need a two be because they nw have 2 children then with in 5 years they need a four bed because they have 4 chikdren and are pregant with their 5th

If these people had a bloody job and had morgatges they would still be living in the one bed because the bank wouldnt re home you in a bigger home because you decided to have yet more children

My view is you should get one chance to be housed and if you want to have 10 kids when you only have a one bed then good luck to you

bluana · 09/08/2012 17:22

I think there must be others out there like me. In work and with a mortgage but appalled at what the vulnerable members of society are being put through.

I will not be voting Tory.

Declutterbug · 09/08/2012 17:32

I voted Lib Dem. That's not a mistake I'll ever repeat Angry. I have voted conservative in tthe past, but won't again.

I first voted in 1997. Never voted labour until the most recent council elections. Now I'm considering labour party membership. Blair irritated me, Brown seemed fairly useless. Both now look harmless in light of this Govt.

usualsuspect · 09/08/2012 17:33

You really do spout some rubbish, Mrbojangles1

FlouncyMcFlouncer · 09/08/2012 17:34

We need to campaign for a 'none of the above' box on the voting slips. There's NO-ONE that I trust at the moment but people fought for my right to vote and it feels very wrong to waste it.

Denise34 · 09/08/2012 17:38

Stand for election yourself, FlouncyMcFlouncer. What would your policies be?

Work Program refuses to acknowledge people's disabilities so there are no 'reasonable adjustments' made, no consideration of what clients are capable of doing when looking at job roles or 'voluntary' work, and you're treat like a scrounger as soon as you walk through the door. That's even before you take into consideration the fact that according to the Work Program there are no economic problems and everyone is able to find work through there scheme - total denial of the problems don't make them go away, it means they treat all clients as 'dole scum' and offer no support to help us back into work.

I attended Work Program only twice before I HAD TO LEAVE for the sake of my health - my disabilities were ignored so I was told I'd lose my benefits if I was "unwilling" to apply for jobs I was unable to do or if I was unable to participate in training classes, and no allowences were made for my disability at all so I was put at risk. I was also insulted because of my disabilities and while there on multiple occasions I overheard Work Program staff members mocking other disabled clients - I've never known a place to treat people with such disrespect! I'd actually go so far as to say that the Work Program is WORSE than ATOS

Above is just one of the comments underneath the linked article. This is absolutely disgusting treatment

carernotasaint · 09/08/2012 17:51

Ive seen posts on other sites and listened to radio phone ins about how workers on 12 hr/18 hr contracts who are struggling to get their hours raised to 24 but cant because their employer says there isnt enough hours. And in some cases the same employers are using workfarers after telling their paid employees (who are struggling on 18 hr contracts )that the hours arent there!

carernotasaint · 09/08/2012 17:52

Just to clarify i have NEVER voted Tory and i never will.

TidyDancer · 09/08/2012 17:58

I am completely ashamed that I live in a deeply Conservative area, and that this will probably never change. It's a rich area (I'm not) and this is essentially why.

The Tories have shit all over the most vulnerable people out there. I despair when people not only vote Tory, but are proud to do so. It's nothing short of disgraceful as far as I'm concerned.

It will be a cold day in hell before I vote for those arseholes.

Sparks1 · 09/08/2012 18:00

It always amuses me that the language used towards the tories is such as "vile" and "evil".

I think bringing this country to its knees financially and spending recklessly is pretty fucking vile and evil. Let alone the burdening of a whole generation with debt and potentially far lower living standards.

Ah yes, that'll be Labour.

yellowraincoat · 09/08/2012 18:01

Ah yes, and also the Tories.

Sparks1 · 09/08/2012 18:06

Ah yes, and also the Tories.

Do please explain?

UserNameNotAvailable · 09/08/2012 18:06

Never have voted Cons, never will and I would never vote LibDem after they went over to the dark side. In the last elections I did, for a little while, think I'd vote LibDem's thank god I didn't.

Denise34 · 09/08/2012 18:08

Why are the Tories "the dark side"?

UserNameNotAvailable · 09/08/2012 18:09

Vagaceratops what do you mean by "community" that ukip want to send kids to?
