Like a lot.

Know one who is 1 year old - aka Dotty.

BillyBollyBandy · 25/07/2012 20:19

YANBU to like a name YABU for not posting in Baby Names Wink

I like it, love Dotty as a nn as well. Problem we have is that DD1 loves "Dorothy the Dinosaur" from The Wiggles.

carabos · 25/07/2012 20:19

Cute. I have a good friend called Dorothy and she's lovely Grin.

picnicbasketcase · 25/07/2012 20:19

I think if you have a special reason to use it and you love the name you should use it. I don't personally like the name, but no offence intended.

squeakytoy · 25/07/2012 20:20

Dotty sounds really cute. :)

Kayano · 25/07/2012 20:20

you could consider Theadora or Dorothea instead which is a derivitive, then she could be Dora or Thea.

WithACherryOnTop · 25/07/2012 20:24

It's my grandmother's name. I'm not keen. Sorry.

SoleSource · 25/07/2012 20:49

I haven't met many Dorothy's. I felt it might be greatly disliked. Not many Gertrude's either, or am I wrong?

tartyflette · 25/07/2012 20:50

I think it means 'gift from God'. It's a lovely name.
