GetOrfMoiiLand · 06/07/2012 23:34

You are right but you are going to get flaaaaaaamed by the people who think the bird who acted Stacey Slater was the soap equivalent of Katharine Hepburn.

WorraLiberty · 06/07/2012 23:36

Ok I read that as 'Mormons'

It's either time for bed or time for more Wine

LadySybildeChocolate · 06/07/2012 23:36

I think all of those will be on t'other site, GetOrfMoiiLand. Wink

Nope, I agree. You don't have to think whilst watching crap like this. It's a relief from your own problems and stresses sometimes.

SkipTheLightFanjango · 06/07/2012 23:37

YANBU but they are many, just like those who are currently reading 50 shades of shite! We must rally together to protect ourselves from the banal-loving hoardes Grin

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 06/07/2012 23:37

YANBU they are shit, i have realised this and don't watch them, not sure calling everyone who does watch a moron is the best move though!

noddyholder · 06/07/2012 23:39

They are for people to live through others rather than take a look a bit closer to home

usualsuspect · 06/07/2012 23:39

I like Emmerdale tbh

usualsuspect · 06/07/2012 23:40

I'm quite happy to be called a moron though (vodka has been drunk)

WorraLiberty · 06/07/2012 23:41

Nah, I don't watch any soaps but I can understand why people like them.

I would never judge anyone on their choice of TV viewing...that's a personal thing.

However, I really can't understand people who post and say "I was in floods of tears watching tonight"

That's a giant step too far.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 06/07/2012 23:41

I used to like it when it was Emmerdale Farm, and it was all about dinner around Annie Sugden's table and the sheep all dying of some kind of James Herriot disease.

mrscumberbatch · 06/07/2012 23:42

Dreadful. Never ever watch the,/

usualsuspect · 06/07/2012 23:44

I'm not a telly snob , I fully admit to watching 4 in a bed and escape to the country

CharltonHairstyle · 06/07/2012 23:45

YANBU

They are all wank.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 06/07/2012 23:45

Is 4 in a bed the one about the bed and breakfasts, if so I LOVE that.

usualsuspect · 06/07/2012 23:46

Yes , they all slag each others B and Bs off Grin

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 06/07/2012 23:47

I love 4 in a bed, i'm also partial to a bit of Coach Trip!

griphook · 06/07/2012 23:47

I love four in a bed, and hotel inspector

hoodoo12345 · 06/07/2012 23:47

Load of old shit all of them.

DonkeyTeapot · 06/07/2012 23:49

I detest soaps - all soaps, not just British ones. Utter shite. But, I wouldn't call those who watch them morons. Occasionally I like to watch something I don't have to think about too much, they serve a purpose I suppose.

DonkeyTeapot · 06/07/2012 23:50

Ooh, I like Hotel Inspector, and Country House Rescue. Used to love Come Dine With Me but even that started to get on my nerves eventually.

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 06/07/2012 23:51

I am also looking forward to seeing the new Dallas Blush

JeezyPeeps · 06/07/2012 23:51

Lol. I'm going to tell my aunt, who has two degrees and a phd, and runs a company that is on the cutting edge of nanotechnology research that she is 'small of mind' because she watches coronation street.

Birdsgottafly · 06/07/2012 23:52

That not why i watch EE & Corrie, it's probably why i became a SW, though Grin.

I watch the soaps when it rains (not every episode) because i like brain dead telly.

I have to read academic books and the law, as well as deal with others RL misery, i want to switch off infront of the telly occasionally.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 06/07/2012 23:54

I was addicted to the OC when it was on though.

That is just Eastenders with really nice teeth and houses, really.

24HourPARDyPerson · 06/07/2012 23:56

y Getff
(Jesus I have agrees with EVERY WORD you've written this week)

Emmerdale Farm was good, Annie Sugden might burn the stew while out helping a ewe lamb. Jack was within an asses roar of having twine holding up his trousers. That's authenticity.
Then it went all sexy.
