We live in a semi but a semi that backs onto another house, so our entire back wall is another house's entire back wall IYSWIM. So upstairs we share a wall on our bedroom, the landing and our bathroom.

The only noise I ever hear from their house is that noise of a pull switch light cord. And the only time I ever hear it is just after I go to the bathroom at night before I go to bed. Whatever the time. I never hear it before or after. Without fail it is just after I leave the bathroom. I go to bed at very random times (DH works away...). it could be 8pm, it could be 1am. Whatever time it is, I always hear that cord go within 20 seconds of me leaving the bathroom...

Uuummmmmm AIBU to think I might be being spied on..??!!! How do I find out for sure?!!

I think we have to assume that gnocci is now down a well in neighbour's basement, a la Silence of the Lambs.

Shall we call the cops?

I think she is trying to scare us for scare her in such way. (and rightly so )

Oh my god, her last post was Friday 13th and we've heard nothing since - her NDN must therefore be Jason Vorhees! It all makes sense now... except not really

Didn't gnocci say her husband was away a lot,

maybe he's some sort of international criminal, it was FBI spying on gnocci, to see how involved she was,

She is now being interrogated somewhere, muttering pom bears due to truth serum.

that's my entry for the conspiracy theory competition, what ever happened to gnocci.

All jokes aside, I am actually getting a bit worried here.

What if gnocci's neighbour really IS a psycho, who really WAS spying on her, and she really has been kidnapped?

Oooh yes the baby! She went into labour while locked in the bathroom and the neighbour called the ambulance cos he could see she was in labour! He is now in custody trying to explain how he knew, and she is staying in hospital as long as poss to use their loos in private.

This thread was a reverse thread, Gnocci is in fact a dodgy neighbour spying on a MN and wanted to see what the reaction would be.

I doubt it, Gnocci is probable otherwise occupied,

or the click she kept hearing was something to do with the door handle to the bathroom starting to malfunction, and she is now trapped in, confidant in the knowledge MN will of worked this out and summoned help.
