I know my chubsters only 5months (and 3 days lol), but after a few months of observing the behaviour of older kids, I just hope that my boy will grow up to be better behaved than alot of kids I see around. Sad Some boys today in the park, well I won't go in to it but, I would of been horrified if my one grew up to be as disrectful as that?
Am I wrong in thinking its time for a change and that all new mummies should take a pledge to bring up polite and caring kids as a kickback to this rude genneration that we have before us at the mo?

Are you also hoping your DC will grow up being able to spell Wink?

well, it doesnt cost anything to hope... Grin

bear in mind though, your precious prince will be associating with those children, and their behaviour may just rub off on him...

Is this your first child?

TantrumsAndBalloons · 26/06/2012 21:52

Yes. YABU to write an op like that.

WhatWouldMargoDo · 26/06/2012 21:53

Mind that wedgie that you will get from your judgy pants

WorraLiberty · 26/06/2012 21:53

Just 'Mummies'?

For the record I've been over the park a lot and seen what are normally polite and very well mannered children, acting like little shits among their friends.

Then it's home again to their parents like butter wouldn't melt Lol.

JumpingThroughHoops · 26/06/2012 21:54

Children are lovely until they go to school and mix with everyone elses little horrors Grin

WenTheEternallySurprised · 26/06/2012 21:54

I don't know. I don't know any chubsters or any mummies, I just know children and mothers. Grin We all think hope that our children will be extremely well behaved before we have them. Then reality sets in. Remember that or you might be in for an unpleasant surprise.

fairyfriend · 26/06/2012 21:54

Presumably you won't be worrying about his literacy skills?

miniwedge · 26/06/2012 21:54

Paaa ha ha ha ha ha! Nice one op. < wanders off chortling>

carlysreducingtummy · 26/06/2012 21:54

Yes, he's my first child. Does that make a diff?

RafaprefersHobnobs · 26/06/2012 21:54

Convert · 26/06/2012 21:55

BonnieBumble · 26/06/2012 21:55

What were the children saying?

squeakytoy · 26/06/2012 21:55

Yes, he's my first child. Does that make a diff?

Oh yes... < nods wisely >

FallenCaryatid · 26/06/2012 21:56

Come back when your chubster is 15 and tell us how you did!
Many a child-rearing plan has gone amiss once the child in question begins to make their own choices.

fairyfriend · 26/06/2012 21:56

Yes it does, Carly. It means that as things stand, you know relatively bugger-all about parenting.
Come back when he's had his first tantrum and we'll discuss it then.

fairyfriend · 26/06/2012 21:57

x-post fallenCaryatid!

TantrumsAndBalloons · 26/06/2012 21:58

May I suggest that there is another site that loves things like chubster mummies and giving your DCs exact age, down to the last second?

You may have ended up here by mistake.

They are also a bit less critical of blatant spelling errors, and do not seem to mind if the op is quite hard to read.

Sparklingbrook · 26/06/2012 21:58

I would like to see the 'new mummies pledge' before I can make a final decision.

LentillyFart · 26/06/2012 21:58

Very good OP. Very good indeed. This should take off nicely. I don't believe a word of your OP because I simply refuse to believe that anyone, anyone at all, speaks like you do.

Chubster? Mummies?

cornysilk · 26/06/2012 21:59

what did the kids in the park do?

BonnieBumble · 26/06/2012 22:00
