You know what, I've taken dd back to the dr's this morning about her nappy rash. She is now on antibotic as its infected. She screamed non-stop while the dr was looking at it. When the dr touched it some of her skin peeled off. When the dr had finished dd would not come near me, she just sat on the floor and cried and kept pushing me away.

TheEnthusiasticTroll · 27/06/2012 13:08

I think you are assuming the common and ferol mothers doing this have no manners, I think that is wrong and rather judgy.

I would much rather assume the best in people than expect the worse. maybe that is the problem you are assuming the worse of these mothers rather an truelly accepting they are not ferrol or common.

LurkingAndLearningForNow · 27/06/2012 13:12

Black I came back and explained I was wrong. So yes, I do believe I have developed empathy for certain situations. I refused to believe that babies could be so sensitive which was wrong of me. I apologise for dismissing your baby's pain as 'exaggerating.' That was wrong of me too.

BlackOutTheSun · 27/06/2012 13:14

Thank you for that Lurking

LurkingAndLearningForNow · 27/06/2012 13:17

Please don't thank me. I made a cruel judgment and it wasn't fair of me. Thank you for accepting my apology. Thanks

BlackOutTheSun · 27/06/2012 13:18

I'll take the Thanks and raise you a Wine

LurkingAndLearningForNow · 27/06/2012 13:22

I admire mums who have the courage of their convictions. I think we can all agree on that! Grin

PooPooInMyToes · 27/06/2012 14:57

LurkingAndLearningForNow · 27/06/2012 22:49

Amesis that is so kind of you. I'm a stauch Irish Catholic so you have no idea what that means to me.

As for cupcakes? COFFCOFFECOFFEECOOFEE!

Me? Coffee addiction? Of course not...Hmm

BlackOutTheSun · 27/06/2012 22:50

As a fellow Irish Catholic, would you mind if I light a candle?

amieis · 27/06/2012 23:06

how about a coffee cake and a coffee?! Brew

OP posts:
LurkingAndLearningForNow · 27/06/2012 23:09

Sips Why Amesis, you do make the best coffee. I feel very spoiled! Grin Thanks

LurkingAndLearningForNow · 27/06/2012 23:12

Oh Black, that means so much to me.

I had a very rough night last night. Lots of tears about our situation. Your thoughts and empathy mean so much to me. You're not the kind who tell me 'it's not meant to be' or 'it'll happen when it happens,' or cruellest of all 'fertility treatment goes against God. :('

Thank you so much. Just..Thank you so much.

amieis · 27/06/2012 23:14

it upsets me that people take that stance on fertility treatment. Every child born, regardless of how, is a gift!!!!

OP posts:
BlackOutTheSun · 27/06/2012 23:22

Oh lurking I'm so sorry that some people can be so cruel Sad
