DH is away. It's late. I would love another glass of wine. DS should be on his way home from the other side of London. Haven't heard from him for four hours. He was mugged about six weeks ago. His phone isn't on; this happened last time. Not expecting him home before 11.30pm but absolutely worried sick.

Can you please keep me company until he gets home or make contact.

I'll keep you company

WorraLiberty · 15/06/2012 23:41

Have you got any of his mate's phone numbers?

He could be on the tube and therefore no signal?

Poor you I am sure he will come home safely soon. Was he with friends and do you have any of their numbers?

Noqontrol · 15/06/2012 23:41

I'm still here. He's only a little bit late, but I can understand your anxiety.

rhondajean · 15/06/2012 23:41

He will probably have run out of post m be running late.

ILoveOnionRings · 15/06/2012 23:42

I have a 16 Year old DS who has had a temper tantrum as we asked him to come home by 10:30pm as we are visiting family tomorrow and Sunday and have relatives visiting on Monday. DH hs gone out to retrive him from the streets

sayithowitis · 15/06/2012 23:42

Where is he travelling from? If he is on the tube, it is probable that he can't get a signal. Whenever I travel by tube, I always turn my phone off to stop it from wasting the battery by constantly searching for a signal.

I am sure he will be home soon.

I'm here to hold your hand.

I'm sure but just out of battery.

usualsuspect · 15/06/2012 23:42

He will be ok, he will stroll in any minute

sayithowitis · 15/06/2012 23:42

My Ds got mugged once, I understand your worry

squeakytoy · 15/06/2012 23:44

I would say definately on the tube with no signal. Send him a text asking him to ring you when he gets off to put your mind at rest.

rhondajean · 15/06/2012 23:44

Sorry run out of power cannot get the hang of posting on this phone.

ILoveOnionRings · 15/06/2012 23:44

On a lighter note a geography teacher has confessed tonight that they only realised why IKEA was yellow and blue as they watched the England and Sweden match

TerraNotSoFirma · 15/06/2012 23:44

Delayed tube maybe?

marriedinwhite · 15/06/2012 23:45

No, I don't have his friends' numbers and it's a bit late to ring bf's mum and pfb'ish. He's travelling East to West.

He is usually exceptionally good about touching base.

Thanks for so many familiar names coming out. We must all lead really exciting Friday nights.

Can you ring DH to see what he thinks?

MammaTJ · 15/06/2012 23:48

DD same age would be grounded for non answering of phone!!
Obv lck of signal would be mitigating curcumstance!
Do u get delivery report?

TheHouseOnTheCorner · 15/06/2012 23:48

Married could he be with a girl? They have a knack of making boys of your Ds age forget the time and vica versa!

ILoveOnionRings · 15/06/2012 23:48

How long does it normally take him to walk from the tube?

Nanny0gg · 15/06/2012 23:48

I feel your pain. I've been there so many times before for all sorts of (innocent) reasons. I'm glad they're not that age or my worry any more.

But - they always came back, in one piece, with many reasons for not telling me what was going on. No battery, no signal, lost phone 'I forgot...', etc etc.

He will be fine, he'll probably walk through the door as though everything is fine, and what are you worrying about.

After you finish tearing him limb from limb for worrying you, come back and tell us what happened!

marriedinwhite · 15/06/2012 23:50

Just heard a tube rattle over the bridge. If he was on it - he should be in within about 5 minutes.
