To think that actually, Madonna DOESN'T need to keep her clothes on if she doesn't want to?

Just because she is 53. I find it quite offensive actually that she's been told by Liz Jones, of all people that because she's post-menopause, she needs to cover up.

Personally, I'd rather see Madge flaunting herself than the twats on TOWIE. I think she looks great and I'd sell my kid to look like her NOW, never mind at 53!

Feminist principles aside (I know) I don't think that age alone is a reason for her to not get her boob out on stage. AIBU?

She shouldn't put it away because of her age, she should put it away because she is an interminable bore and is doing the same auld shite trying to shock us all. Nobody is shocked.

nymets · 12/06/2012 09:54

i used to detest madonna but strangely am really liking her lately, music and everything else.

yanbu

DialMforMummy · 12/06/2012 09:55

What Joan said. Bored of seeing her crotch.

Psammead · 12/06/2012 09:56

It was a bit of a weird thing to do, but it was only a breast, and breasts are just breasts no matter what your age. They don't really come with a use by date.

WorraLiberty · 12/06/2012 09:56

I think Liz Jones has a point.

Imagine if Humperdink had flashed his dangling bollocks during the Eurovision?

You're right though in the sense that it's Madge's body and she should be able to do as she pleases with it, but this latest stunt does smack very much of desperation to me...then again when you look back over her career she's always been about the 'shock factor'.

The saddest part is that she doesn't need to reinvent herself because she's still a world wide superstar and a legend.

There's such a thing as over egging the pudding and I think someone needs to explain that to her.

WorraLiberty · 12/06/2012 09:57

but it was only a breast, and breasts are just breasts no matter what your age. They don't really come with a use by date

Errrr I think you'll find they do but it depends on the surgeon and the quality of implants Grin

UnChartered · 12/06/2012 09:58

if i had a choice in the matter, i'd rather she covered her mouth

stop that infernal shite that falls out of it Grin

BupcakesandCunting · 12/06/2012 09:58

The flashing thing by Madge IS a bit old hat and that's fine to say but to say "put 'em away love, you're past it now" is a bit off. It makes me want her to get BOTH of them out next time.

'Imagine if Humperdink had flashed his dangling bollocks during the Eurovision?'

Mahaha! I might have watched it, then. Sounds hilarious. They should totally do that next time.

Mrsjay · 12/06/2012 10:02

she shouldnt put it away because of her age she should just put it away full stop , we have seen it love i am kinda bored now Hmm

Glitterknickaz · 12/06/2012 10:02

Thing is we've seen it all before haven't we?
Booooring.....

Changethatbulb · 12/06/2012 10:02

Attention and blatant publicity seeking stuff.

Surely she has enough money and can just give it all up - singing, touring, flashing her bits. I am no prude but getting your nipples out, well, it's just a bit sad at any age.

Psammead · 12/06/2012 10:02

Worra You know what I meant.

Has she had a boob job?

WorraLiberty · 12/06/2012 10:03

I think the people who feel she should put them away because she's 'past it' have every right to be honest about it.

Some people are turned off by older people's bodies and some people aren't.

It's the way of the world and if you're going to stand on an international platform with your 53yr old boob out (though upon reflection it might only be a year or two old Grin ) then you're going to invite opinions/criticism.

It's all about the press and the attention for Madonna and she's never appeared to give a rat's arse whether that's positive or negative press and attention.

NameGotLostInCyberspace · 12/06/2012 10:04

I was just thinking this yesterday. Read in the paper about her flashing ner boob. Again. If she is so talented and admired is it really needed? She is just annoying really.

cantspel · 12/06/2012 10:05

It is all so yesterday and just makes her look desperate.

She has spent her whole career trying to shock and she just cant give it up even knowing how sad it makes her look.

WorraLiberty · 12/06/2012 10:06

The most shocking part for me was discovering they're not actually pointy and cone shaped Shock Grin

Mrsjay · 12/06/2012 10:06

I saw it in the paper and just thought why ? what statement was she supposed to be making ,

Nancy66 · 12/06/2012 10:06

I think it's the sheer ego of certain singers that they still think they were as good, relevant and popular as they were 20 or more years ago.

Sadly, they don't seem to click that all the shit they produce later in their career really takes from their glory days.

Elton and Sir Paul are you listening?

bronze · 12/06/2012 10:07

I'm more disappointed that her breasts aren't cone shaped Grin

Mrsjay · 12/06/2012 10:07

did you expect them to be sharp at the end worra Grin

WorraLiberty · 12/06/2012 10:08

Yes Mrsjay Grin

Snap, bronze!

Mrsjay · 12/06/2012 10:09

bet you were a tad disappointed worra no jaggy boobs for madonna Grin

WorraLiberty · 12/06/2012 10:10

I'll have to make other plans to hang my coat Grin

MateyM00 · 12/06/2012 10:11

i think she should put them away, because we've all seen them before and i think that its sad that she feels that this is the only way she will get the amount of attention she craves.

I'm only 42 and 3 stone overweight. I have a DD aged 8. she would be mortified if i got my tit out infront of the nation.

She has a fab body, good on her, and she wants to show it off , fine by me.... but I dont want to see it, thank you very much!
