To think that actually, Madonna DOESN'T need to keep her clothes on if she doesn't want to?

Just because she is 53. I find it quite offensive actually that she's been told by Liz Jones, of all people that because she's post-menopause, she needs to cover up.

Personally, I'd rather see Madge flaunting herself than the twats on TOWIE. I think she looks great and I'd sell my kid to look like her NOW, never mind at 53!

Feminist principles aside (I know) I don't think that age alone is a reason for her to not get her boob out on stage. AIBU?

I'd be obsessed with my own nudity if I had Rihanna's body

amillionyears · 12/06/2012 10:32

x post.I meant madonna

UnChartered · 12/06/2012 10:34

that's ok then.. Wink

she should put them away, if we don't know what they look like by now, we probably aren't that interested

WorraLiberty · 12/06/2012 10:34

What 'taboos' of older age is she smashing with a surgically enhanced body? Confused

'Older age' and nakedness is about having bits sag, wrinkle and fall off

It's hardly smashing a taboo if you have operations to make your body look younger/firmer/nicer than an average 53yr old is it?

squeakytoy · 12/06/2012 10:35

Can you imagine if Sir Cliff had dangled his bits at the jubilee gala... Grin

Changethatbulb · 12/06/2012 10:36

Thanks squeaky.

Brain bleach please. Grin

WorraLiberty · 12/06/2012 10:36

Can you imagine if Sir Cliff had dangled his bits at the jubilee gala Grin

Whilst singing 'The Young Ones'?

cocolepew · 12/06/2012 10:39

TBH I thought she did look her age in the pictures. You can't airbrush real life.

When I wad growing up Debbie Harry, Kate Bush, Chrissy Hynde etc. managed to remain popular whilst keeping their clothes on.

Madonna is trying to stay ahead of GaGas publicity.

charitygirl · 12/06/2012 10:39

Oooh that's a nice nursing bra Madge!

cantspel · 12/06/2012 10:40

If Madonna were a bloke behaving like she does you would all be letting rip what a disgrace she is.

She has a series of boyfriends barely past puberty, flashes her bits every chance given and doesn't seem to own any clothes than dont look like they come from a BDSM shop.

redrubyshoes · 12/06/2012 10:45

I have been around since the start of Madonna's career and I always thought she was an over produced, over publicised and overhyped and actually a very bad singer. She has to open her mouth very wide to hide her natural squeak.

Has she ever actually said anything noteworthy?

And yep your Madgesty - put them away ffs.

CowboysGal · 12/06/2012 10:48

I'd rather she flashes her nipple than all the gun glory crap she's currently toying with.
Either way I much prefer version of Madonna these days

halcyondays · 12/06/2012 10:48

Liz Jones has a point. People who try so hard to cling on to their youth just come across as a bit desperate. It's a bit cringey. And if you were a teenager and your 53 year old mum was getting her boob out you would be mortified.

I thought Cliff singing the Young Ones at the Jubilee concert was a bit strange, "some day when the years have flown" sorry, Cliff but they already have.

cartblanche · 12/06/2012 10:52

I would really like to hear her take on it. It was quite a cold, calculating thing she did there (and it did look rather like an elaborate nursing bra). Did she just feel frisky and know it would provoke an outcry - did she just think "fuck it, I have GORGEOUS breasts, LOOK!"

In interviews it's like she is desperate to be taken seriously and as some sort of "intellectual", cultivating that ridiculous accent and being so prim and proper about her own daughter's education. Maybe she is just a Mel Sykes, shag-monster having a laugh. I don't know. Why do I even care?

BupcakesandCunting · 12/06/2012 10:55

I think she just got caught up in the moment, singing her sexeh song from the nineties. We've all done it. Down the pub, few too many Cherry B's, Salt N Peppa's "Let's Talk About Sex" comes on the duke box and before you know it, you're doing the Running Man in front of the fruiter whilst your bezzie does crazy legs.

I am not outraged, I am just bored.

It was equally tedious when she pulled this shit 20 years ago.

ComposHat · 12/06/2012 11:02

On an unconnected note if I have to mention 'Bill Odie' I can't help but sing his name to the tune of 'Erotica' by Madonna.

'Bill Odie, Bill Odie put your hands all over my body'

Which is not something I'd want. Not really.

redrubyshoes · 12/06/2012 11:03

Compos

Well said. Just about summed up my feelings. Same show different decade.

The Ken Dodd of the musical world.

redrubyshoes · 12/06/2012 11:04

I meant the tedious shit not the Bill Oddie thingy you have going Wink

WorraLiberty · 12/06/2012 11:05

Compos I think it's getting on for 30 years ago now!? Shock

WorraLiberty · 12/06/2012 11:06

Well Bill Oddie's been known to sit in an old bush and stare at the passing tits.

All in the name of bird watching....

ComposHat · 12/06/2012 11:08

Worra

Hahahahhaahhahaha!

or 'lol' as the kids would say.

Itsjustafleshwound · 12/06/2012 11:10

I just don't lime the whole fact that she treats her fans like idiots .... If she had done that in the US she would be treated the same way that Janet Jackson was when she had a wardrobe malfunction. It is called'edgy' and 'cheeky' and the fans are paying above the odds ..

PorkyandBess · 12/06/2012 11:13

Not sure about the boob flashing, whatever age.

But Madonna has got a much better body than just about everyone I know, so good luck to her, she can get away with this sort of behaviour.

KellyElly · 12/06/2012 11:22

She needs to put it all away because it's all a bit boring now. Everyone's seen it like a million times! Also she has three kids...talk about an embarrassing mum doing that!
