To think the Camerons don't really deserve the bollocking they're receiving

Never ever ever thought I'd be on his side btw! But it was a mistake ..they thought she was with each other, no harm came to his DD! She's absolutely fine and mistakes happen! There's enough "I'm a shit parent threads" on here to prove that its hardly unusual

And yes I know he's in charge of the country but bot sure it has much to do with it Tbh

Awaits flaming

I like your thread title, is it a rap?
Grin

No yanbu and I don't like him either.

GreenPetal94 · 11/06/2012 19:00

I agree. It's no big deal, just a mistake and she was fine. I haven't done this myself but have done things of similar risk, such as losing one child for 10 mins in the zoo. Found him watching a penguin. Give them a break, his family life is private and its a pity someone leaked this to the papers.

MilkNoSugarAndAShotofWhisky · 11/06/2012 19:01

Although who am I to say anything considering my inability to do a thread title properly

I totally agree, it's such an easy thing to do when travelling in two groups. Vague Sunday School memories tell me Jesus' parents did the same thing with him at about that age too!

MilkNoSugarAndAShotofWhisky · 11/06/2012 19:02

Love the idea of a rap :o

Ha, you are very passionate about it ain't ya.

Shutupanddrive · 11/06/2012 19:03

Agree

lifesalongsong · 11/06/2012 19:03

I couldn't agree with you more. I once forgot to put a child in the car and drove about 100yds before I realised.

It doesn't make me incapable of doing my job, what a fuss about nothing. Its a funny family anecdote for years to come that's all.

Dawndonna · 11/06/2012 19:04

I hate him with a passion, although not as much as Thatcher.
However, these things happen.

Hanleyhigh · 11/06/2012 19:04

A similar thing happened to us once, on a slightly smaller scale - easily done when there are different people travelling separately.

Knowing how easily it happened, I would never judge anyone else for doing it!

EchoBitch · 11/06/2012 19:04

What was that again Grin

trixymalixy · 11/06/2012 19:05

YANBU.

SauvignonBlanche · 11/06/2012 19:05

YABU

NotaDisneyMum · 11/06/2012 19:06

The Cameron's I don't blame - it happens!

The lack of attention by their protection detail isn't so easy to forgive, though!
The Cameron's DCs must have a fairly high risk of kidnap, so should be fairly well monitored - the fact that none of the Police Officers were aware that she wasn't in the party is a bit of a worry!

OhNoMyFanjo · 11/06/2012 19:06

Erm what's happened? Blush

Mintyy · 11/06/2012 19:07

Yanbu. Can't abide David Cameron but goodnessmewhatafussaboutnothing!

Triggles · 11/06/2012 19:08

No, as much as I dislike him, I suppose it happens. However, I DO get annnoyed at some comments (attached to story, not so far on MN) that it is the fault of his security personnel as they didn't notice she was missing. Surely it's the parent's job, not security's, to make sure they have all their children. Hmm

MrsTerryPratchett · 11/06/2012 19:08

They are forgiveable even though I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire, the bodyguards are going to get a bollocking I would imagine.

Tortington · 11/06/2012 19:09

cant tell you how much i dont gie a shit

this is not news

JustFab · 11/06/2012 19:09

Apparently she went to the loo without telling anyone so I guess that was where the confusion came from.

There is another thread on this and from what I have read they are mostly all slating him.

CaveMum · 11/06/2012 19:09

YANBU. All the people criticising the Cameron family must be 100% perfect parents.

VivaLeBeaver · 11/06/2012 19:10

I don't think his children are accorded any security. This isn't America. Even princess Beatrice and eugenie don't have police protection. And remember when one of the Blair kids was pissed in the gutter, underage drinking. I don't think the police can be blamed.

Sounds like it was more Samantha than Dave anyway. He left first and kid was still there. Samantha then left with other kids and assumed Nancy was with Dave. It's not the end of the world, no harm done, etc. I've never left my kid anywhere but I can see it could happen.

poorbuthappy · 11/06/2012 19:10

I left a twin in a car seat in the council offices once.
Granted didn't get all the way out before dh said, have you forgotten something?

Psammead · 11/06/2012 19:10

Agree, OP.

MrsTerryPratchett · 11/06/2012 19:12

Maybe the people criticizing him aren't perfect parents. Maybe they are disabled or unemployed or poor or women and are using this opportunity to get the boot in. I can't blame them Grin
