To not have sex with my partner

Because yet again I have the most horrific shaving rash! He says he doesn't mind but I do... Now I feel silly Blush

While we're here does anyone else suffer from the BURN and HORRID ingrown hairs? How do you prevent them.. I'm sick to death.

I wish I could just go all european and not do hair removal but it makes me itchy thinking about it.

Well I don't entirely agree but there is little point saying so as you will probably just be rude. So I'll just leave it.

yellowraincoat · 27/05/2012 23:52

I probably won't be rude if you don't extrapolate things that I haven't written.

SchrodingersMew · 28/05/2012 00:06

I have a completely bald fanjo but I don't shave from my knees up on my legs and even then I don't shave my legs nearly as often now.

Lets see the feminists work that one out. And btw I wear really short shorts pretty much all the time.

I think the only people trying to take away what rights women have are the ones posting telling women they shouldn't be doing something because they think they do it because someone else thinks they should.

Loads of people (men too) shave because it's what they prefer, being told that they shouldn't is an attempt at opressing their free will to do so. Wink

yellowraincoat · 28/05/2012 00:08

ARGH.

No one is saying anyone should stop shaving their hair.

NO ONE HAS SAID THAT.

Krumbum · 28/05/2012 00:08

It's ok that oppression happens cos your happy pretending it doesn't.

Moominsarescary · 28/05/2012 00:09

Madness

yellowraincoat · 28/05/2012 00:10

Yes, it is madness, because it's impossible to argue anything with people who just keep telling us we've said things we haven't.

SchrodingersMew · 28/05/2012 00:11

Krumbum Sorry love, you are a fucking nutter.

Yes, oppression does happen, I do acknowledge that it happens but that doesn't mean that every bloody woman (or man) who shaves is oppressed. Hmm

yellowraincoat · 28/05/2012 00:13

Can you perhaps acknowledge, Schordingers, as much as I love your name, that you completely misrepresented what was being said?

SchrodingersMew · 28/05/2012 00:13

Yellow up until now, I have been reading on an iPad and have skipped a few pages to make it easier. Maybe no one has said that people shouldn't but that is certainly what is being insinuated.

yellowraincoat · 28/05/2012 00:14

No one's insinuated anything. In fact, it's been categorically stated several times that that isn't what anyone is saying.

We're saying that maybe you need to look at WHY you do those things.

SchrodingersMew · 28/05/2012 00:15

Maybe I have but I have seen so many of these threads where all hell breaks loose because someone dares to shave and then everyone who shaves being told that they can't possibly do it for their own reasons...

It's maddening.

SchrodingersMew · 28/05/2012 00:16

No, I don't need to look at why I do it.

I started doing it after my periods started and I felt disgusting no matter how much I washed.

All the ick getting caught in hair.

yellowraincoat · 28/05/2012 00:16

This is this thread.

Why not just respond to this thread and not the other threads?

Or have you been socially conditioned to hate all pubic-shaving threads?

Obviously not since you couldn't possibly be socially conditioned to do anything, since social conditioning doesn't exist at all ever.

SchrodingersMew · 28/05/2012 00:19

I know social conditioning exists, I studied psychology so know quite a bit about conditioning (thought you might have guessed that since you said you liked my name).

I just don't think that everyone shaves because they have been "conditioned" to do so.

Maybe you have been socially conditioned to believe that anything any woman does it because men have conditioned us to do so? Wink

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 28/05/2012 00:19

I didn't say you had said anything. I didn't reference you at all. If you read the exchange between worra & kumdrm it's quite clear what I was saying.

Not sure really to be honest why it warranted your response.

Empusa · 28/05/2012 00:20

Haven't read the whole thread yet, as I am off to shave all the hair off my body (bar my head) because I'm an awful awful person Grin

SchrodingersMew · 28/05/2012 00:20

What? Was that in response to me?

Krumbum · 28/05/2012 00:22

It's cumulative! Shaving pubes in order for your body to be acceptable to male sexiality is the tip of the iceberg. It's all part of the objectification of women, which leads to much worse forms of oppression. Do you seriously think its a coincidence that many wome
Shave?

SchrodingersMew · 28/05/2012 00:22

Empusa :o

yellowraincoat · 28/05/2012 00:23

Mew - I'm sure a large number of my beliefs do come from social conditioning, yes. In fact I'd say everything I am and do and believe comes from social conditioning to some extent.

I also don't think I said that all women everywhere shave solely due to social pressure so not sure why you're arguing that point.

SchrodingersMew · 28/05/2012 00:23

Krumbum Is it possible you have so many crumbs in your bum because it needs a trim?

I have already said I started shaving because I didn't like the icky feeling on my period.

DoreensEatingHerSoreen · 28/05/2012 00:24

Grin at Debeez saying 'public' hair up thread.

WorraLiberty · 28/05/2012 00:24

I just don't think that everyone shaves because they have been "conditioned" to do so

Maybe you have been socially conditioned to believe that anything any woman does it because men have conditioned us to do so?

This is it for me in a nutshell and what I was struggling to say earlier.

Thank you SchrodingersMew

Quite a few people have explained their personal reasons for being hair free and yet even after that, there were claims that they were 'socially conditioned'...even though the only people who knew the reasons for their personal choice, said it wasn't so.

I think some people get blinkered and insist that because some people bow to social pressure...therefore everyone does.

SchrodingersMew · 28/05/2012 00:25

Yellow Tbh, the reason I commented on this thread was because of Krumbums comments, who seems to think that women only do anything because they are oppressed.

They make us shave and then they rape us That comment.
