We've recently moved and got a cleaner. She's very nice but I'm not that impressed. She scours the kitchen within an inch of its life and skims the rest. For the last 3 weeks I've noticed that DP's toilet and the teen's toilet have poo stripes. SHe has cleaned the toilet but not scrubbed the stripes. Is this not a bit out of order? We can't have loo brushes because DS loves them and charges round the house with them aloft.

I once worked for a woman who left her pads in her pants when she put them in the wash, so I do know what it feels like to think, jesus, meet me half way.

But still, is a bit of a scrub not part of being a cleaner?

op - maybe her attitude was *its just a bit of blood, or aibu" did she provide you rubber gloves too?

8 pages now and you are still being unreasonable. You have been an au pair who has been expected to carry out demeaning tasks as the paid help, so you should know how that feels and understand that it is not the done thing.

i would not have picked up used sanitary pads. or the soiled undies of the aged relatives of my employer, i will wager that wasnt in your contract....

Vicar I believe upthread I accepted I am unreasonable and will get a lockable loo brush forthwith, or do it myself Grin. I did peel off the used sanitary pad (once) but I asked them to deal with the poopants, because I did not literally know how to clean it up myself without making more mess.
