Listening to LBC now. discussing how 'outrageous' having up to a year off in maternity leave is.

Katie has just pointed out she went back to work within 2 weeks of having a baby. Big fucking whoop. Well done !!

OP posts:
MINIBondGirl · 09/05/2012 09:32

Didn't see it but going back after 2 weeks Shock - why bother having a baby at all then. Women like her do no favours to anyone - silly bint.

TheCrackFox · 09/05/2012 09:36

If we all ignore her she will go away.

LadyWithEDS · 09/05/2012 09:37

Katie Hopkins , she has ishoo's!

mayaswell · 09/05/2012 09:39

I wouldn't be surprised if she went into politics at some point, she's got very strong views on things.

FoxSake · 09/05/2012 09:40

I bloody love the annual MN Katie Hopkins thread.

She for example is a massive twunt.

Sparklingbrook · 09/05/2012 09:40

There is a poster on here whose name I forget that thinks she is great.

It's not me. Whenever I think of her it's that picture of her half naked in a field with someone elses's husband.

FoxSake · 09/05/2012 09:41

Just remember if we all followed her examples we'd be husband stealing, field shagging mums who never cared for our dc as babies.

littleducks · 09/05/2012 09:42

She went back to work after two weeks. It didnt save the economy. Her colleagues had to have time off sick with stress at the disapointment Wink

sparkling it's Kate herself cough cough

Longdistance · 09/05/2012 09:44

That's very well if you're not breast feeding, and you're a millionaire business woman, who can hire help.
This stupid woman needs a reality check, and needs to pull her head out of her arse. Not everyone can afford child care, and going by that, I doubt her little darlings are going to be well balanced adults. You need longer than 2 wks 2 bond with baby. Those kids are gonna have isues when they're older.
Did she get a gold medal for going back to work so early???? No. So feck off you stupid witch!!!!

peanutbutter38 · 09/05/2012 09:45

no point having children if you go back after a fortnight, or indeed if you go back and put baby in nursery from 7-6.30 five days a week, like a few people I know. Who say their children don't mind. Yeah right. Lets return to this conversation in 20 years.

scarletforya · 09/05/2012 09:52

Ha, I'd say she ran back to work because she couldn't hack it at home. She a fucking cabbage.

Stellarforstar · 09/05/2012 09:52

I could barely stand up after a fortnight, and the bleeding, my days, the blood, and the squirty boobs, and the sweating!

I went back after six months and still had to have a nap in the first aid room at lunch time so I could function for the last 3 hours of the day.

Maybe she's just well super and the baby flew out of her 'gina like it was covered in Olive Oil, and then she went to the loo to put her face on and pick her suits up from the dry cleaners.

Or maybe she's a twat.

FoxSake · 09/05/2012 09:53

I'm sure when your on your deathbed nobody will send you a card for going back to work when your babies were newborn but I would like to think that you'll remember that time fondly. I'm on mat leave with my 3rd and last baby and I'm loving every second of it

SodoffBaldrick · 09/05/2012 09:53

Oh my God, is it that time of the year again already??

Every few months, they lift open the coffin lid, crank her out, stick a cot hanger in her gob, dust on the blue eye-shadow and she has her ranty piece. Always about...

A. A year's flipping maternity leave and the outrageousness of same
B. Covens of breastfeeders in Costa, whipping their mammeries out, and/or
C. Us. The good women of Mumsnet.

Snore.

bakingaddict · 09/05/2012 09:53

I really dislike her but at the same time feel a bit sorry for her, as I think she's become a laughing stock now.

I dont know what her credentials were before she embarked on a media career as a cheap rent-a-crone but she has never struck me as being particularly intelligent or well informed about issues so I tend to view her as one might an elderly irritating relative in that they will never quite get things because they're basically ignorant

MrsPnut · 09/05/2012 09:54

I may have missed something but Who is she?

Is she famous for something? because I've never heard of her.

AWomanCalledHorse · 09/05/2012 09:55

I'd never heard of her, googled, and now I'm annoyed by her.
Dammit MN!

SodoffBaldrick · 09/05/2012 09:55

I actually had to check the date of this thread, so sure was I that it was a bumper.

No, Hopkins, broken-recording it again, apparently...

Pagwatch · 09/05/2012 09:56

I don't give a toss what she does. If she wants to go back to work the next day, good for her.
I don't like the 'why have a baby if you are not going to stay at home' stuff. Women should generally figure out what suits them and persue that as best they can.
She should stop being a wanker and trying to tell other women what they should do

Codandchops · 09/05/2012 09:56

Never heard of her....

LadyWithEDS · 09/05/2012 09:57

Banking, I don't agree with you about feeling sorry for her, I do agree with you that she is a laughing stock and a cheap rent-a-crone by the media!

LadyWithEDS · 09/05/2012 09:58

She was a BBC Apprentice contestant, she used to look at Alan Sugar with her chin down and her eyes looking up ala Princess Di, I am sure he had his hand under the desk when she did that!

OrmIrian · 09/05/2012 09:58

agree with you pag. Whoever she is, she sounds a bit of a twat but some of the replies on here are are a bit daft as well.
