Recently, I've seen a few people doing this, and it surprised me (and when did so many people switch to roll-ups?).

I don't want to see people fiddling about with tobacco pouches and cigarette papers in coffee shops and restaurants. Obviously, if they could smoke them there then it makes sense, but now it seems to me like going into a cafe and starting to make your own sandwich (with no intention of eating it in there obviously).

AIBU? A friend says I am, because if they did it outside "their tobacco might blow away", which while possibly true, hardly seems a good justification to me.

The actual rolling of the cigarette doesn't bother me, so much as when they leave tobacco on a table/surface that will be used for something such as food or drink...

It's just about being considerate with what you're doing. I personally don't like it, but it's not harming me - until there is tobacco left on a table that I might be next to put my plate/mug on. Then it bothers me significantly...

What is this rule that you can't do stuff in a coffee shop? I have rolled roll ups, knitted, read books, made lists, done written work and all sorts in coffee shops.
