WIBU to abstain from sex until he has shaved that unattractive beard off?

I'm tired of mentioning it once a day. He's tired of hearing me say it once a day. I do not nag about it. At least I don't think once a day is nagging.

His beard is unacceptable, imo. When he shaves he looks lovely. When it's grown, he looks old and chubby round the chops. I don't like being scratched when he kisses me, and frankly I don't want it anywhere near our baby, although I've fallen short of actually saying so.

In the past, I've half jokingly said I won't have sex with him any more unless he keeps his beard trimmed. I do my share of hair removal, he should do his.

WIBU to go through with my threat and refuse sex next time he's feeling amorous?

It would entirely depend on what the beard actually looked like IMO

Have you tried getting him to condition it? It's what I do and mine is soft and luxuriant

I don't think it's fair on his, how Wouk it be if tables were turned and he refused sex until you shaved your lady garden?
Maybe if you explain calmly how upset about it he will shave it off.

how nice of you to nag him daily and refuse sex because you dont like his physical appearance. how would you feel if he did the same over not getting your tach waxed, full face of makeup or roots done?

I hate beards so YANBU. I can still remember having to kiss my Dad when I was young and his moustache was horrible and scratchy.

Just make sure your chin is totally hair free or he may complain about yours too :o

I think a face full of beard is not equal to a face full of make up. I think it's equal to what a man generally expects from a woman regarding her body hair. I shave my legs, trim my pubic area and do my bikini line as well as tweeze rogue chin hairs.

He's put on a fair amount of weight but I don't care about that, so surely it's not just all about keeping him looking like an Adonis.

I just don't like beards. I don't like being touched by one. He has dreadlocks but I've never asked him to cut them off despite not being keen.

A shave is the least I expect of him.

Is there some other punishment I should try instead?

btw I have tried the 'positive reinforcement' method where I say nothing when he has a beard, but go all squidgy on him when he takes it upon himself to shave...

My OH is officially a prickly git if he goes too long between shaves. I don't even accept a peck on the cheek once he's prickly, YANBU!

Exhibit a) I saw an old workmate at our v drunken Xmas do with a newly acquired beard. Naturally I asked after his DP, to which he replied, "Frustrated; I haven't gone down on her since I started growing this thing [points at face]". After I finished gagging I stopped seeing face-fuzz as a plus point.

Exhibit b) Brad Pitt's beard.

My teenage DD told her BF that she didn't like his beard. He suggested that as a compromise he would shave daily every other week (and have a beard every other week. He was very pleased with his beard.) I told her that she should make no comment on this suggestion, but at the relevant time say, "Oh, I'm sooo sorry I just can't kiss you when you have a beard. I'm so sorry to be fussy. It's such a shame..." And say goodnight at arm's length. It seems to have worked!

My dh's beard has never been scratchy (except when it started growing when he shaved it off once) It must need to be longer. He doesn't expect me to do anything with my body hair- it's MY body!

In saying that, I suspect beard oral would drive crazy in a good way so don't do anything til you've explored all the possibilities

YANBU. I detest beards & wouldn't consider being with someone who had one. If my DP grew a beard now, I wouldn't be anywhere near him & not to use sex as a weapon but because I couldn't physically stomach it!!

In the same vein, i also wouldnt knowingly do something to my own body that he would find equally repulsive! Hope he shaves soon!

You are not being unreasonable not to like it (even though I think he looks good to be frank) but YABVVVVVVVVVVVU to think you can or should be allowed to make him change it, and even more so to use sex to control him.

YANBU-beards are itchy & scratchy & lets be honest if we all let our lady gardens grow outta control the men wouldnt like that either.
