Just watched child of about 8 say 'fuck off you fucking bitch' to his mum. To which his mum laughed.

Couple who arrived 30 mins after me (there's still about 13 people in front of me...) are now screaming at receptionist for the delay and threatening to write to their MP. Apparently he has a Very Painful Ingrowing Toenail which needs Urgent Medical Attention..

As the thread now seems to be Derbyshire bound....... I am off to visit my Aunt and Uncle in Repton next weekend. That seems quite a nice village but I don't know many other places in the county to compare it too

Lequeen, that happened to me the other week, a child was playing up in Reception and his mum said 'if you don't behave that lady will throw you out'..kid then glared at me, I was quite pissed off with her tbh.

Urgh out of hours GPs/hospitals seem to bring all sorts in.
Had to take DS in once when he swallowed a plum stone and there were all sorts of bleeding and swearing people. (The Joys of Leicester!)

I went to Melbourne in Derbyshire to pick something up once.
Have had serious lifestyle envy since.

There are posh bits of Derbyshire. My dad lives in Hartington which always seems naice.

Urgh to the people swearing at children/getting jiggy/drunk etc. I once saw a woman outside the £1 pouring full sugar coke into a bottle for a screaming 2 year old while shouting "shut the fuck up I'm going as fast as I can you spoilt little bitch". Biggest cats bum mouth ever.

X-posts - I actually quite like it now, has taken me a while but tbh we live in a slightly pukka part (everything is relative) so it's not as bad as it could be. I'm a county girl at heart though and look longingly at those who live in lovely villages (used to live in the Cotswolds , was gorgeous)
