But in a similar vein I do feel very old to admit that I can't stand the kids (and grown ups) who wear trousers so low their bum sticks out the top clearly showing their boxers / tighty-whities. I have to fight an urge to run up behind them and yank them down. Wouldn't take much effort.....

I frequently resist the urge to tell women that leggings should not be worn as trousers, only with tunic tops or dresses or other tops that are long enough to cover, at the very least, the majority of one's bum.

If the person has a lovely bum, then it makes me stare at it. If it's horrible, I also probably end up staring. Therefore, those wearing leggings turn me into a pervy arse-starer - this must be stopped.

I have a pair of leggings for house wear becauase they are comfortable. When my husband started pilates, a new pair would have cost a bit so he used mine and looked good in them. I would not wear them anywhere other than in the house though.

I had the misfortune to spy a woman last week in a pair of leggings-
