I spent a distressing 20mins following a woman in see through leggings and a short top as she pushed a buggy up hill. Leaning forwarded onto the buggy handles with her arse sticking out behind.

If I hadn't been walking with my toddler, I would have overtaken her. As it was I had to try and avert my eyes from the small, yet vividly floral, pants that shone bright through the lycra.

Today it is hot in Glasgow. Everyone is crazed by the weather. And I saw one poor girl in a black jersey cotton maxi dress which was completely see through in the sunshine. Fortunately she had big white knickers on, no thong.

Saw a woman out earlier in the sun in a purple maxi dress which was so low cut you could see the top of her nipples and all of her nipples when she bent down to her DC.

The thing I want to know, is, where are these girls/women's mothers? My mother would have an absolute fit with her legs in the air if I went out in any of these costumes, (and I'm 36), as would I if DD tried it!

I LIVE in leggings (with v long tops or even dresses) because they are easy to get on with my handygrab dresser. I always get my daughter to check you cant see my pants or wear a long thin cardy to cover my butt.

I cannot bear seeing the thin legging/pant thought the worst was a rather huge sanitary towel bulging through said pants and thin leggings YUK!

I would never wear leggings without a bum covering top, but please reassure me that gym leggings- the 3/4 type with a gym top are ok, at least while in the gym? Because I would look v stupid in a gym skirt...

Talking- oh God, they don't count! In fact I think they are rather flattering if they're the right size, and not just size 8 people!

Saw somebody in those wet look leggings yesterday, with a short top. The crotch of the leggings were somewhere around the tops of her thighs (ie not all the way up).

They are skin coloured, but not the skin colour of the woman wearing them. I'm not sure if that is better or worse.

those leggings are hideous. I know I confessed to wearing them but I do use a mirror and wouldnt even attempt leaving the house in those monstrosities (sp?)

i am very paranoid about this! i always make sure my bum is fully covered but if the top ends anywhere above mid thigh i am constantly checking.
