I wear leggings with mid length tops. My leggings are more like skinny elasticated trousers than jersey type material though.

My DH would be the 1st one pointing and laughing if you could see my bum.

I like to wear leggings because I have trouble finding pants that fit me, my hips are huge and fat, my waist is a lot smaller, my arse is huge but my thighs are again, a lot smaller :(
I find that leggings fit everywhere equally, Altho I always wear q tunic type top that covers my arse and belly and I'm quite a big girl.

YANBU. I think leggings suit very few women. I am quite slim (10/12 when not pg) but leggings make my calves look wider than when I have bare legs or have thick tights on. The only people that look good in leggings are slim to thin but with well toned legs.

As for see through ones with a short top.

I have a lovely, very dear friend who has lost a shitload of weight over the last year and looks amazing. However, she seems to be favouring the legging/camel toe/see thru at back combo - with a bolero style jacket at the moment. I know. I have tried to tell her without sounding like a bitch. She thinks (and I don't blame her) she looks fabulous.

I was on the train sitting down when a young student came on and stood by me. He had on lowriders which went right down at the back AND the front - I didn't know where to look (anywhere but right in front of me!)

At our local girls High School the sixth formers seem to have taken en masse to the leggings/short top combination. I really don't know how they can parade about like that with their bottoms and knickers so much on display
