to wonder how people can justify smoking during pregnancy?

I know this is an emotive thread, and I'm not talking about people who try and cut down slowly I'm talking about people who make no effort to stop.

How do people justify that?

Where I live I see alot of it and suprisingly its not mainly 'chavyy women' as people would think.

AIBU to wonder why someone wouldnt even try to stop?

I'm not defensive, I just think it's out of order

Hello there,

I know this has been a bad-tempered thread, but please try to rein in the personal attacks and troll-hunting, or it's going to go poof fairly quickly.

Thanks
MNHQ

FlangelinaBallerina · 21/03/2012 19:30

Everlong if you changed the record, I could too. You're still doing the same thing you've been doing for the last few days, so I'm going to keep calling you out on it in the same way.

As for saying what you want, first of all you can't: Rowan's intervention has just demonstrated that. But in terms of dissing pregnant smokers, yes you can just like they can keep smoking. Both of these things harm their foetuses. Whereas nothing I have said does so. That's the distinction.

Incidentally, the deletions of my posts are a fucking joke. Material much more offensive and harmful than that has been allowed to stand. Frankly they were two of the tamest on the thread. We've had ample demonstration recently of MNHQ's wrong headed priorities, looks like there's a bit more.

So please Rowan, let me know exactly what the issue was with telling Everlast why her behaviour is damaging, and criticising her for jumping at any excuse to respond without responding?

FlangelinaBallerina · 21/03/2012 19:36

I'm continuing to post just as you are Everlast, and we're both posting the same thing we have for a few days now. Neither of us is letting this drop. You've not shown much appreciation of the concept of hypocrisy on this thread, but you look silly dissing me for something you're doing yourself.

Anyway, your focus on your right to do what you want whatever the consequences is no different to a pregnant smoker. If it's ok for you to do it, it's ok for her. If it's ok for you to pillory her, I can do the same to you. No double standards.

It's probably all the troll hunting.

Rowan deleted the post where I was explaining it was a slip of the finger. Perhaps I have blue eyed rap on the brain.
