The one from Fathers4Justice, where they accuse MN of:

"carrying abusive and distressing anti-male content which promotes gender hatred against men and boys"
and, apparently, labels "men and boys as rapist, peados and wife beaters."

The ad has a lovely picture of a sad little boy with words like "rioter" and "homeless" and "sperm bank" written on his skin.

I am confused, as I have never come across a thread on here where people routinely call men paedophiles and rapists. In fact, usually, if someone implies that a man being left alone with a child is dodgy, posters will pile in and say "God, don't you know not all men are paedos.?"

As I understand it, this is a forum for discussion, not a political movement with a manifesto. There are many and varied opinions on MN, and the minute one opinion is aired, another will be along to refute it.

Or should I just laugh at F4J? The ad is quite gruesomely funny.

Yes I checked their site earlier and was impressed to see Mike's posts.

Can I say instead that some members of F4J have expressed the opinion that many women lie about abuse in relationships in order to prevent fathers having contact with their children?

I know this because I read one of them post it on the other thread the other day

Worra, I think some of them are confused and think that the MN FB page is in fact Mumsnet many of them also seem to think that the posters are somehow representative of Mumsnet themselves. I don't think a lot of them have grasped what MN actually is.

No child deserves to be used like that, even if he is being paid as a model. It's just horrible.

I'm also a bit stuck, as I'm boycotting M&S due to the lack of gluten free snacks they carry, AND because they don't do fairtrade pants any more. Or easter eggs

IIRC there's something in their letter to M&S about M&S using their influence on the media to stop a bigger ad campaign. Could it be that the Indie resisted pressure from M&S where other papers gave in? (Feel free to delete this if it's wrong and I've accidentally libelled M&S or anything....)

I also know a woman who has lied to keep her husband from her DC's. I think that F4J have a valid grievance, fathers are treated like shit by the justice system. I know some fathers are a threat to their DC's and ex DP/DW's, but it's massively unfair to treat ALL fathers the same.
