To think that if someone elderly gets on a busy bus...

...they should not expect a seat?!?

I would of course give up a seat for someone elderly or less able than me but should they think they're entitled to a seat just because they're old especially if they get on bus which already has people standing?!?

Well Orm I want a ban on anyone who doesn't know how to mute the voice in the self service checkouts!

(learnt here how to do this and do it all the time now)

OrmIrian · 08/03/2012 17:02

Oh, I don't want to have them shot. Just moved out of the way and given a nice cup of tea and a sit down. After all they are only doing it because they have nothnig else to do.

limitedperiodonly · 08/03/2012 17:03

People who travel on buses past the age of 30 are losers. Margaret Thatcher said so and she was always right. Not so much now because she's old but she might be because in her head it's probably still 1984.

Anyway, so how old are you Debbie? Eh? Maybe you and the old people have more in common than you think?

And don't even think about lying because we'll send the old people round to cut your leg off and count the rings. Might do that any way.

OrmIrian · 08/03/2012 17:03

Come to think of it, teenagers are always being accused of hanging around being menacing because they have nothing else to do. Perhaps we could give the elderly skateboards, bottles of white lightning and spray paint.

Hullygully · 08/03/2012 17:04

Oh yes! Lovely Maggie. Where is she in our hour of need? She'd take the old on and CRUSH them like the miners.

Sparklingbrook · 08/03/2012 17:04

SAHMs wouldn't want to use the bus at 9.30 because Jeremy Kyle is on then.

lesley33 · 08/03/2012 17:05

sparkling - Well only on the council estates surely?

crystalglasses · 08/03/2012 17:06

lesley33 · 08/03/2012 17:07

I am 47, in another 2 years old will have moved to 60

MirandaGoshawk · 08/03/2012 17:08

And as for all those OAPs using supermarkets on Saturday mornings or - worse - Friday evenings after work Shock when normal people who have no choice have to shop, it should be against the law. Dithering, blocking the aisles while they stop & have a little natter... There should be rotas, or summat.

Oh, and YABU.

Sparklingbrook · 08/03/2012 17:08

Oh yes lesley but there's always The Wright Stuff. Grin

lesley33 · 08/03/2012 17:08

hully - perhaps we should have a nostalgia thread for Maggie? You know, what do you miss about Margaret Thatcher?

MirandaGoshawk · 08/03/2012 17:08

Old is 15 years older than you, apparently.

OrmIrian · 08/03/2012 17:09

Me too Lesley. In fact I was thinking about missing out my 60s and going straight on to 70.

Hullygully · 08/03/2012 17:09

And why do they all wear beige coats?

It's like the Uniform of the Old.

GET SOME COLOUR YOU OLD FUCKERS

Hullygully · 08/03/2012 17:10

Now you're talking, lesley. That is a TOP idea.

It's no good me doing it, the Volturi will come and spread gloom all over it.

lesley33 · 08/03/2012 17:10

Remember my gran refusing to go on holiday with two women because theyv were old - they were 85 you know. She was 80 Grin

lesley33 · 08/03/2012 17:10

Hullygully · 08/03/2012 17:11

PandaWatch · 08/03/2012 17:13

70 should be the cut off for all of us. We're all a drain on resources and frankly unsightly after that
