they should at least return to the thread and say thank you for the responses?

OP posts:
imnotmymum · 28/02/2012 14:16

sometimes I would like to know the outcome of dilemma or query but I am just nosy

mojitomania · 28/02/2012 14:17

Know what you mean but depends whether the OP got a flaming or not in a lot of cases or if thread went off on a tangent.

SilentBoob · 28/02/2012 14:19

No, not always.

Psammead · 28/02/2012 14:21

I have wanted to start this kind of thread many times.

I absolutely hate this! Especially when people start threads like 'Quick! Let me know how to say 'Here's looking at you, kid' in Bulgarian!' and you google your ass off, come up with a reply, and... nothing!

Bearcrumble · 28/02/2012 14:22

I always come back and say thank you.

thegreylady · 28/02/2012 14:23

me too :)

MrsBeakman · 28/02/2012 14:24

Hang on where's the OP gone? Wink

TheOneWithTheHair · 28/02/2012 14:25

I think if you get an answer, whether you like it or not, you should say thank you. It's not hard.

Francagoestohollywood · 28/02/2012 14:31

I don't mind, to be honest. Most of us post to let out our over opinionated self... not for thankyous... Wink Grin

Lueji · 28/02/2012 14:33

You're welcome MardyBra.
Oh, hang on...

HuwEdwards · 28/02/2012 14:35

Really?

No, I don't care if someone acknowledges or not tbh..

I quite often post a thanks if I have asked a question and people have helped. But then I get all embarassed because I look down the list of active threads and can see that the thread has (naturally) ended there and I just see myself as a thread killer and it makes me paranoid. Grin

AnyFucker · 28/02/2012 14:42

I always come back to my threads

in fact, I have a bit of a competition thing going to be the last one to post and say "thank you" Smile

YANBU

I just love it when I give free legal advice on the Employment topic and the OP doesn't come back, usually because I didn't give them the advice they wanted. Hmm[eyeroll]

Yes it is rude

I am Envy and Angry when such OPs prove to be ungrateful.

I am struggling to get people to post on my thread and give me advice :( and I would be very very grateful if anyone did even notice me!!!
