to think council shouldn't pay for lollypop lady outside private school?

is this not the council subsidising private education? Just annoys me to see all the massive 4 x 4s dropping pfbs and then there's a lollypop lady there laid on by the council? Shouldn't the school organise one themselves?

" don't really see what your point is?"

Probably that she is paying for services which are not available to her.

diabolo · 20/02/2012 20:27

Secret - no, I don't imagine you would see my point. Smile

Have you started work on getting me my refund of £5K per annum tax I'm due yet? (for not using the state education system). All unfair imbalances have to be addressed don't they? Or does that really only apply to "other" people?????

Must pop off now. Darling pfb first born son of darlingness due home from some sort of private education type extra-curricular activity don't you know?

usualsuspect · 20/02/2012 20:28

Op never came back then

There's a surprise

SecretMinceRinser · 20/02/2012 20:28

What so she shouldn't pay for hospitals (which she is able to use but aren't as close as she would like) but other people should pay for her childs school crossing patrol.....OK

suebfg · 20/02/2012 20:29

Well, God only knows what air you're breathing OHugeManatee

diabolo · 20/02/2012 20:30

Sorry - don't mean to be a bitch.

But I am off. Bye Wine

SecretMinceRinser · 20/02/2012 20:30

You want a refund because you chose not to use state education. Or are your kids like the many a pp spoke of who have been cruelly forced into private school?

suebfg · 20/02/2012 20:35

Take a hike

spiderslegs · 20/02/2012 20:38

Ohh - go & rinse your mince.

It may clear your head a little.

SoupDragon · 20/02/2012 20:39

"but other people should pay for her childs school crossing patrol"

Other people aren't paying though are they? All parents are via taxes. Thus, the parents of the pupils attending the private school are already paying for the crossing.

Simples.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 20/02/2012 20:40

at rinse your mince Grin
Fab phrase!!

SecretMinceRinser · 20/02/2012 20:42

But the pp clearing resents paying for services she can use but doesn't get quite as much benefit from that other people. Double standards much?

SecretMinceRinser · 20/02/2012 20:43

*as other people

suebfg · 20/02/2012 20:44

We're bored now - clear off

SecretMinceRinser · 20/02/2012 20:45

Well don't let the door hit your arse on the way out. No-ones keeping you here posting!

suebfg · 20/02/2012 20:46

We're closing the door on you

SecretMinceRinser · 20/02/2012 20:48

Is everyone on this thread your sockpuppet sue? Or have toy been appointed the voice of Mumsnet or something? Get over yourself - if you don't like a thread do what everyone else has to do and hide it.

suebfg · 20/02/2012 20:48

SecretMinceRinser · 20/02/2012 20:50

Still here I see - strange as it's boring you so much. Why not go and order some other people off threads cos you don't agree with them or something?

usualsuspect · 20/02/2012 20:51

usualsuspect · 20/02/2012 20:54

MN is always up for a private V state bunfight Grin

Zipitydooda · 20/02/2012 21:30

Yabu and also how do you know that the lollipop lady is funded by the council anyway?

My DS state school lollipop man is funded by the parents as the council cut back on such funding but the school is on a main road and it presented a scary safety issue. I and the other parents pay the lollipop man's salary through a voluntary donation and PTA fundraising.

Impsandelves · 21/02/2012 00:04
