to think Tesco should fucking well PAY THEIR STAFF?

I know, I know, there have been threads about it already.

But this is so rage-inducing, I want THE WHOLE OF EVERYONE to know about it.

Jobcentre advert placed by Tesco for night shift staff. Who will be paid [drumroll] JSA (£67 a week) plus travel expenses.

Why the fucking fuck should Tesco get their staff for free? Why? Their profits last year were something like £3.5 billion last year!

I know who I think is taking the piss here, and its not the unemployed people who will be forced to work night shifts at Tesco for their £67 a week Angry

Tesco are heavily deleting posts and banning people from posting now.

They've just banned me - no comment as to why, I was only posting a link to this article Grin

TalkinPeace2 · 17/02/2012 18:37

HMV now denying being in it .....
the toxicity of the association is working...

JaneMare · 17/02/2012 18:41

that article is on there right now molepom Grin

molepom · 17/02/2012 18:46

Where? it's gone quick.

PetiteRaleuse · 17/02/2012 18:54

Surprised Daily Mail are outraged at this - only a few weeks ago they were having a go at Cait Reilly for refusing to do a stint as a poundland slave...

minimathsmouse · 17/02/2012 18:54

Molepom they haven't banned me yet, so I have just posted your link on there.

molepom · 17/02/2012 18:56

lol..a lot of deleting and banning going on at the moment.

NOOO! Don't go into Co-op, its so bloody expensive!

I'm not saying boycott it at all, but Save yourself some money and go somewhere else! :)

molepom · 17/02/2012 19:00

agreed Co-op is pricey and not that good to be honest but they have the monopoly around here so I have no choice, unless it's a tram ride to Sainsbo's or shop with JSainsbo's online which I will have to do from now on. Money is tight as it is, but I refuse to make things worse for the economy in general by supporting the store that participate in workfare.

"Those who will be made to work could include men and women with terminal cancer who have more than six months to live"

But there is no plan to set a maximum limit on the hrs worked or a set number of weeks, therefore it might be reasonable to conclude that people with terminal cancer could be dropping like flies, worked to death. At what point would they be permitted to opt out.

GobHoblin · 17/02/2012 19:07

Petite
The daily fail punts up stories and follows the way the wind blows
they had in fact supported her the day before until their comments board said otherwise
then on that story the readers were outraged so they turned again
tomorrow they will find somebody unworthy who has been made to work and the worm will turn again
the grauniads coverage is the best
and actually the torygraph is pretty outraged - because its readers are being shafted by the low interest rates and annuity rates

molepom · 17/02/2012 19:10

Gob who is he? Just initials will be fine - one bloke is craking me up and I'm wondering if it's him now. I can comment on anything as they've banned me.

KalSkirata · 17/02/2012 19:10

I see from Tesco FB that while free labour is allowed, free speech isnt!

catgirl1976 · 17/02/2012 19:12

Ooh me too. Its fab - they are asking people if they like free chocolate. You can imagine the reponses :)

molepom · 17/02/2012 19:15

OMG..I'm crying with laughter on the free chocolate thread.

TalkinPeace2 · 17/02/2012 19:16
