AIBU?

Share your dilemmas and get honest opinions from other Mumsnetters.

To tell all those of you who only post on AIBU that there is a whole world of very specific boards on Mumsnet for you to post on?

MNHQ have, over the years, very kindly created any number of different boards to reflect the many and varied interests that Mumsnetters have.

Anything from pets to health to relationships to gay children to education to things for sale to comments on site stuff to general chat, etc etc.

So why, oh why, do you persist in only posting in AIBU?

Naaah what's more fun is to start secret threads in other topics laughing at all the die hard AIBUers

issey6cats · 11/02/2012 23:49

and wasn't actual cash was votes on a site

AgentZigzag · 11/02/2012 23:51

Hmmm Honey?

If you know something it's against the law not to link.

Worra - why not use the right board? What, really, is the problem with that? It hardly takes much effort.

Worse, people post all kinds of really sensitive stuff, that would be much better in the appropriate threads, so that it avoids the bunfight that has become AIBU. There is no doubt that people post differently in AIBU, and it seems as if they are looking for an excuse to get the claws out and be seriously unpleasant to people. There have been many threads recently where the OP has posted something quite sensitive and has been mauled to pieces - whereas if they had posted in the 'right' place, their post would have been given an altogether different treatment.

Issey - tiredness has nothing to do with it. YABU.

So true Maryz and it's been proven time and time again by the amount of threads that get moved from AIBU and immediately die!

I've got a 1969 World Cup Willie badge...will that do you? Grin

McHappyPants2012 · 12/02/2012 00:16

Because this board don't sugar coat things, if yabu or not you will be told :)

WorraLiberty · 12/02/2012 00:16

There's no way on God's green earth I would take advice from anyone on the internet claiming to be a legal expert.

Do people really do that given the amount of hoaxers and nutters around??
