I think he'll slip on his own hair grease when he's in the arches. He'll fall forward and catch his rubber lips on a car exhaust. As he tumbles under the car and into the pit, the car will fall on top of him.....splattered to death!!!!

He would have to die a very drawn out death of cancer, after Pat and Tanya comments.

I love Derek, makes me laugh! EE is utter CRAP anyway, i still watch sometimes.

He only signed a 6mth contract and I've not heard of it being extended so he might not be with us for very much longer.

We used to watch EE. I decided one day that I just didn't want the Mitchells in my house, even just through the tv so stopped. Then a friend got a part so we watched it for a short time. I'm afraid I saw his character as a parody of DH and was constantly gobsmacked that DH thought his mate was so brilliant. Stopped watching it again after only a few weeks.

Never looked back! So now we are completely free of any of those soaps, as I never watched any of the others anyway. I have no idea who anyone is, don't recognize any of the actors or their names. Feel terribly ignorant sometimes, but I can live with that!

In RL Derek would have been recalled to prison by now. Perhaps EE for once could emulate RL and have his license revoked for crimes against acting .

Could someone explain why Derek is so obsessed with his sister Carol? It's all very creepy and makes very little sense! And what power does he have that makes everyone else scared of him? Will we get a backstory that explains it all or will he just go on being an all round nutcase until he gets himself killed (hopefully in an improbable manner by someone who knows how to be a proper villain)

I've also stopped watching because of Derek - who is suddenly dominating the programme. I find these gangster storylines so utterly boring, where have all the good character-driven storylines gone?

It wasn't Minty because I'd remember that name! I really can't remember the character's name, and I'm not going to tell you the actor's name as that would out me amongst people I know in rl and I really don't want that. Anyway he hasn't been in it for ages - years now I think.

Part of the problem is that he needs to tone the acting down for TV it's too over the top. I only half-watch. Too many boring storylines at the minute.

See, normally I'd have have the EastEnders omnibus on in the background right now while I get Sunday dinner organised. It used to be a real treat with an early glass of wine. Today, I have the radio on instead.
