AAAARRRRHHHHHHH!!!!!!

OP posts:
mrsjay · 10/02/2012 20:59

Do we know if he is in long term or not ?

BerryMojito · 10/02/2012 21:01

Bloody hope not!

mrsjay · 10/02/2012 21:03

I cant see him lasting long maybe till phill gets back from holiday prison ,

TheMouseRanUpTheClock · 10/02/2012 21:04

I have given up on EE. My sympathies with the randy dream, sick came up my throat at the thought.

He disgusts me in rl too, csa dodger, tens of thousands in back pay outstanding according to the press.

what happened to Amy?

BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 10/02/2012 21:11

I cant wait for him to go hopefully die painfully
I cringe through every single scene.

M0naLisa · 10/02/2012 21:54

Jack droped the case because roxy said she would get him sent down for forging her signature so he dropped it and Amy went back home to the mitchells.

SPOILER ALERT

Derek hires a hit man to try to get rid of roxy and rumour has it he rapes her too :(

ReindeerBollocks · 10/02/2012 21:59

Derek just doesn't fit with the rest of his family though does he?

DH made me watch Corrie for the first time in about seven years, I had no idea what was going on. I'm going to give up EE too, really not keeping up and don't really like the characters.

TheMouseRanUpTheClock · 10/02/2012 22:00

What forged signature?

Blimey at the spoiler, does he get the wrong person, I understand someone else gets killed off

Spoiler

Heather

jesuswhatnext · 10/02/2012 22:07

the thing that bothers me most about EE is the child actors, the little girl who 'plays' amy is, imo, far too young to understand that what is going on is make believe, she is in scenes with shouting and yelling and being cuddled and kissed by 'daddy' (im sure scott maslen is a nice guy but how do the parents now teach her to diferenciate(sp?) between 'daddy', or 'mummy' forthat matter, and strangers?) it just worries me.

Eglu · 10/02/2012 22:14

I've heard that

SPOILER

Ben kills Heather. Not read a full storyline for it yet though. Certainly not heard of Roxy leaving, so maybe Derek doesn't make it happen.

LineRunner · 11/02/2012 05:33

I agree, jesuswhatnext. The child who plays Amy just looks soooo sad and lost and uncomfortable sometimes, clearly looking at an adult off camera for salvation from the nonsense of 'Take 99 - Jack Says, "You're my dawta an' I love ya," for the umpteenth time.

GrittersWifeAndProud · 11/02/2012 08:10

Can someone send a link to this thread to the bbc? They might get rid of Derek quicker that way if they realise that no-one likes the slimey little toad.

LineRunner · 11/02/2012 08:12

And, is it just me, or do some of the other actors looked really embarrassed acting with him? (Derek.)

BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 11/02/2012 08:39

I thought that line...

By the way, before anyone says "if you hate him he's doing a good job", I dont hate the character because he is nasty, I like a good villain.
He is just. So. Shite.

BistoBear · 11/02/2012 08:48

I knew this would be about Derek before I opened the thread! He is dire, wish the BBC would get rid of him!

RedBlanket · 11/02/2012 08:55

I knew this was going to be about Derek. He's so awful. Why is everyone so scared of him? Tiffany's more menacing than he is.

The girl who plays Amy does look a little bewildered sometimes, Although I thought the scene when she kissed Jack was quite sweet. She must feel comfortable with him otherwise she wouldn't have done it. Presumably her real life mother is standing 2 feet away from her at the time.

McPhee · 11/02/2012 08:59

I can't understand why they're all shit scared of him. He's a joke.

Come one BBC, is this really the best you can do Hmm

Ineedacleaneriamalazyslattern · 11/02/2012 09:01

I have only watched one or two episodes over the last few weeks because I just can't stand to watch Derek. He just makes me all stabby and annoyed.

LineRunner · 11/02/2012 09:05

He's about as scary as the bloke who goes into my corner shop for his lottery tickets every Saturday and gruffly asks for twenty bensons and a tin of kit-e-kat.

DesperatelySeekingSedatives · 11/02/2012 09:21

Can't stand Derek, the storylines he's involved in or his nasty, toady face. I also don't "get" why so many of the other characters seem to fawn over him. Helloooooo! He served time and he's clearly a nasty cunt, or aleast meant to be Hmm

Mind you, I've seen scarier panto villans, but there you go.

Animation · 11/02/2012 09:25

The script writers must be in crisis. He's pointless. Confused

LineRunner · 11/02/2012 09:28

He looks like a pathetic old git on his way to the day centre.

At least Grant and Phil were a bit 'tasty' in their day.

Schnarkle · 11/02/2012 09:48

I gave up watching this when the Kat and the stolen baby storyline was in the pipelines.

So glad I haven't bothered since.

daisyrain · 11/02/2012 10:21

I daydream about Michael Moon, a lot!

youarekidding · 11/02/2012 10:30

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks this about Derek. I have to admit even me, who usually watches it religeously (Iplayer etc if I miss it) has not been bothered the past few weeks.

Would love to see how the ratings have been lately.
