My thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Smile

GirlWithPointyShoes · 10/02/2012 19:48

:o

It could be worse! His hobby could be taxidermy.

HaveYouTakenLeaveOfYourCervix · 10/02/2012 19:49

surely it is bad enough that every afternoon he pretends to drive from penzance to brighton, or glasgow to norwich, or whatever shite?

but to admit to a pefect stranger that that is what he wants the thingy for???????

Dh has a submarine simulator. Count yourself lucky Wink

Ladygaggia · 10/02/2012 19:50

Leave the bastard!

Grin

Sorry, had to be done

NoWayNoHow · 10/02/2012 19:50

I grew up in a family with a No Shame father - it just gets worse as they get older, I'm afraid! (Case from a few years ago: meeting in-laws for first time whilst at buffet carvery, appoaching the dessert table, slightly larger lady serving, father comes out with, "Well, I know who at all the pumpkin pies!" Blush Blush Blush )

HaveYouTakenLeaveOfYourCervix · 10/02/2012 19:50

he cooks, cleans, washes and cleans his teeth regularly but this might be too much.

Shark - is it just a single submarine trip or does he keep adding new routes and submarines to it?

OP posts:
SmethwickBelle · 10/02/2012 19:51

We've got that one. Just trains? No explosions, collisions, drama, just CGI trains pottering about on rails...?

nods sympathetically

pats shoulder

I've got a photo of DH with DS1 and DS2 on his lap all staring goggled eyed at the bloody trains chuffing around... I hold it and cry a bit sometimes Grin

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 10/02/2012 19:52

My DH says surely better a train simulator than porn?

Grin
HaveYouTakenLeaveOfYourCervix · 10/02/2012 19:53

Is virtual flying better or worse than virtual train-driving? I can't decide.

But we did once realise on a MN zombie panic thread that DH's virtual flying skills would be a handy route out of some nightmare scenario we'd invented.

GirlWithPointyShoes · 10/02/2012 19:54

Is it?

Convert · 10/02/2012 19:55

Why would he shame you all by admitting that?! Does he not realise you will all have to go into hiding now another living person knows that he does this? Bastard. Leave him immediately.

annalovesmrbates · 10/02/2012 19:55

DH here spends his spare time painting little soldiers and refighting various wars but usually WW2 with them. He speaks of it. In public. A lot.

DH would be fucking useless with ZOmbies. he'd be dithering over whether we need to take the DC123 or the LBD 76. Stupid embarassing fucker.

He was on the phone to a computer geek who knew what he was talking about and how to help.
No shame, it's still within the Nerd Circle of life. Grin
DH can't work out the remote control for the TV, so we have to help him on University Challenge evenings. No VR here!

hiddenhome · 10/02/2012 19:59

My dh has a miniature train track running round our back garden. He has three small steam trains - with carriages - which he runs along it Hmm

MessNessPess · 10/02/2012 19:59

Quite therapeutic Girl. But without using headphone it would quickly drive me off the rails ;)
