for asking my chap to marry me on 29th- do I get him a ring? But chaps don't generally have engagement rings? Do I get my own ring ( will only be a cheapy thing either way but more of a token I guess )

he better bloody say yes! After 8 yrs, buying a crap house and having a baby (wonderful) together I think he probably will haha

What if he is just in the Bath Zone and takes the vest off without even noticing the writing? V real possibility with my DH. Can you make it in some way very hard to take off? Sew it to the nappy or something?

How exciting Maddening!!
I proposed to dh (not on 29th) Did the 'marry me' in tealights (way before anyone copied my idea on tv! Biscuit)
I got him an engagement present of a picture by one of his favourite artists called 'the proposal' - is in our living room now Smile

We went out after and chose my ring together.
Can't wait to see the vest pics! Grin

Zillion He just doesn't like the idea of weddings (bit of a bone of contention between us) and after 13 years & 2 DC's I've kind of let it slide! However I love the beautiful ideas that people have for their proposals, maybe I shall have to think about it (but not for the 29th as its a bit late to come up with an idea that suits us.)

I can't wait to see baby Maddening in his vest! Fingers crossed ladies that all goes to plan!

Wanted to add my story.DP is working away and we often have limited time together anyway as he works so hard.Anyway he was back for the weekend so stayed with me and had to leave this morning.He woke up to a card with a few words(ok an essay)saying how much I love him.I left a box downstairs with the cufflinks in.One said Will U marry me with the 29.02.12 and the other I love You with the date we met.I also put a haribo ring n the box.He came upstairs but wouldn't give me his answer.He wants to wait until friday when we are seeing each other again but said we can go into town saturday and loo at rings.I'm going to cook a nice meal and I might ask again on one knee but not sure yet x

Yes very surprised we have spoken about getting married for ages.I have 2 dsks from a previous relationship and I know one day DP would like one more.I've always said I would like to be married before anymore children as I wasn't last time around and want everything to be different this time.

We went to look at rings in october last year.Dp kept winding me up saying well this is your year to ask being leap year and all.I don't think he thought for one minute that I would actually do it.
