they are heroically accomplishing while being SAHMs (cooking, washing, ironing, etc) are being at best naive and at worst disingenuous. Who do they think does all that stuff in the non-SAHMs' households, house elves?

OP posts:
CakeistheAnswer · 08/02/2012 13:42

Mary Berry's iced gingerbread. Mmmmmmm.

PositiveAttitude · 08/02/2012 13:42

Do I detect a Plurker?

CakeistheAnswer · 08/02/2012 13:43

Ooh, get you, Eagle Eyes

OtterNonsense · 08/02/2012 13:43

But, you need Tesco value Jaffa cakes for that. The orange jelly stuff in proper Jaffa cakes is far too difficult to remove cleanly. And I'm boycotting Tesco at the moment.

What to do? What to do?

NormanTebbit · 08/02/2012 13:44

Oooh I might make iced gingerbread after watching Homes Under Hammer, smoking Lambert and Butler, with fried egg drubbed down the front of my pink velour dressing gown and Nigella's clementine cake when I've got the big two from school.

Denj33 · 08/02/2012 13:45

Tesco Jaffa cakes are nicer anyway

CakeistheAnswer · 08/02/2012 13:45

Damn. Damn.

Have been spotted and outed.

Denj33 · 08/02/2012 13:46

Am definitely going to need some type of cake/ biscuit to get me thru the rest of the day.

CakeistheAnswer · 08/02/2012 13:50

When I tried boycotting Tesco they didn't seem to notice. Bizarrely. Confused

Jins · 08/02/2012 13:51

I'm going to boycott Waitrose. Haven't got one near so that will be easy

CakeistheAnswer · 08/02/2012 13:52

I'm currently boycotting Fortnum and Mason.

Jins · 08/02/2012 13:53

I might boycott them as well. And Harrods

bessie26 · 08/02/2012 13:53

I usually work part-time, but right now I'm on maternity leave. Which direction do I throw my buns in?

CakeistheAnswer · 08/02/2012 13:54

Yeah, bastards. That'll teach them.

OtterNonsense · 08/02/2012 13:54

Yep, cake Fortnuma and Mason are on my list too. Grin

Actually, Tesco have noticed. They sent me an e-mail saying that they had noticed I hadn't shopped with them for a while and would I like free delivery on my next order of £50 or more.

I miss their superior Jaffa cakes though.

ouryve · 08/02/2012 13:55

Where have you seen this?

Have you nothing more interesting to do than start a SAHM bashing thread? How empty your life must be.

Pagwaatch · 08/02/2012 14:19

I have people who bake my cakes for me.

I can't tell you how exhausting it is watching them.

(is the sahm/whom shit going to be going on for much longer?)

Hullygully · 08/02/2012 14:21

I bake people in cakes.

It is quite unique.

TheBluehoneyDragon · 08/02/2012 14:24

I've just been attacked by my Mince. Now that is unique and a little scary, perils of being a SAHM, WOHP's don't get their Mince posting on Mnet

IamMummyhearmeROAR · 08/02/2012 14:25

I'm a SAHM but I'm studying for a medical degree through distance learning with The University of Sky+. Today I've done half an hour of GP training with Doctors and now I have an afternoon of lectures with Dr Sloan.

Pagwaatch · 08/02/2012 14:26

Everyday is a challenge but I have no mince angst.

Jins · 08/02/2012 14:28

My worst mince related attacks were when I worked full time. Now I spend more time at home I can train my meat products better.

Hully can I have your recipe please? There's a noisy builder next door who is asking to be baked

TheBluehoneyDragon · 08/02/2012 14:28

Lucky you Mince angst
