Fair play to him for coming up with the most obscure combination of words.
Thinking outside the box has never been more cringe-worthy

YANBU - I think he is creepy anyway.

mycatsaysach · 07/02/2012 00:13

a line from a fats domino song - about a letter Smile

GrimwigTheHeadEater · 07/02/2012 00:15

Oh dear.... surely he must have realised ....

AnyFucker · 07/02/2012 00:20

well, the content of it sounds like absolutely drivel too

isn't it time he retired ?

I can't stand the smug bastard

AnyFucker · 07/02/2012 00:20

him and his stupid wobbly head

AnyFucker · 07/02/2012 00:22

I am not Heather Mills, btw

piprabbit · 07/02/2012 00:23

I bet record company employees have been sniggering about this for months - while under strict instructions to comply with PMs every whim.

LineRunner · 07/02/2012 00:24

I quite like Heather Mills. I tried to hate her, when it was fashionable, but in the end I couldn't.

Tranquilidade · 07/02/2012 00:24

So relieved to find others who dislike the smug git too! Thought I was the only one, people on tv act like he's a saint.

Jo Whiley, whilst reviewing it tonight I did feel for her, she said the title in such a cringing voice

It's not necessarily an age thing.

Justin Bieber should retire, too.

HugeFurryWishingStool · 07/02/2012 00:44

He's like an elderly bush baby peering out from underneath a brown fungus.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 07/02/2012 00:59

Who else was breaking ground in 1963?
I know he wasn't alone.
Imagine - being him - John Lennon - dead
George Harrison - dead
Ringo Starr - luckiest man 20th C
Oh God, I know you'll all be pages away.

LineRunner · 07/02/2012 01:07

The oddest thing is that as a teenager I used to fucking hate Wings; and now whenever I hear a Wings song I usually rather like it.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 07/02/2012 01:12

OK.
Just asleep then.
I agree he's a bit wanky, but he was one of the first to be in the position that he was.
All things considered, I wish him well.
That spelling looks rubbish, sorry.

ninedragons · 07/02/2012 02:39

He looks like he went to an unregistered plastic surgeon in Tiajuana and said "Make me look like Paul McCartney".

ComposHat · 07/02/2012 03:45

Luckily it is only a pun froma line in the Fats waller song 'I'm gonna sit right down and write me a letter' the kisses on the bottom refer to the titular letter, rather than the human buttocks.

The alternative interpretation - that 'kisses on the bottom' was Fab Macca Wacky Thumbsaloft's anal riming concept album was too awful to contemplate.

JuluLu · 07/02/2012 03:52

He should have stopped writing music circa 1970.

The nadir of his career to date is surely "Oobu Joobu"...

ninedragons · 07/02/2012 05:37

Really, he was handing the reviewers a bit of a gift there.

I can see him having a lot of snits over the next few months, at philistine reviewers who just don't get his Fats Waller namecheck and have to be puerile about everything.

Snurk

OrkaLiely · 07/02/2012 06:47

Heather Mills earned every penny of her £24million settlement putting up with Macca.

squeakytoy · 07/02/2012 09:35

He reminds me of a turtle that has lost it's shell. And he is smug irritating git with a gormless look on his face most of the time.

Did anyone see him when he was interviewed at the F1 race last year.. he was stoned out of his head and talking even more rubbish than usual.

Chubfuddler · 07/02/2012 09:37

God I'm glad there are other people who can't stand him. Everything they said above.

TroublesomeEx · 07/02/2012 09:38

I imagined him kissing the youthful peachy bottom of his new bride.

Is that what he was aiming for?

TheScarlettPimpernel · 07/02/2012 09:40

I assume it is from the old favourite 'I'm gonna sit right down and write myself a letter/ And make believe it came from you/ I'm gonna write words oh so sweet/ They're gonna knock me off my feet/ Kisses on the bottom /I'll be glad I got 'em..."

...and I have always sniggered at that line, so....
