AIBU?

AIBU to be gripped in the throes of a teenage style crush on Eddie Redmayne?

He is not even my type! I am worried about myself. I am old enough to be his.. well old enough! But there is just 'something' about him & I am having filthy thoughts about him. I blame bloody birdsong coz I didn't even like him in pillars of the earth.

So, am I alone?

Cameron and Redmayne are both Etonians, LadyClarice.

grovel, I don't understand your point (am asking genuinely, not being snarky or high-handed).

LadyClarice, I think the age gap may 'just' qualify this as an 'inappropriate' crush I am afraid....Grin. I am 12 years older than him!

But I am still daydreaming about him..the more I think about it, the more I think I actually am attracted to the clothes men wore back then - so much more attractive than most nowadays The WWI uniform on him was pretty impressive! Y'see I didn't fancy him at all (or much) in pillars of the earth.

I had a similar crush on the actor in Atonement when that came out too.

I was born in the wrong era, sob!

Well, the official formula for acceptability is half your age plus seven, which according to my admittedly crap mental arithmetic puts you in the clear. Grin

He did look kind of hot in the uniform, and I'm not really a man-in-uniform girl usually. A young man in a good suit is a Beautiful Thing, generally speaking ...

I am pleased you don't fancy David Cameron LadyC, I was starting to worry about your state of mind.

Thank God I found this thread, I thought I was the only one.

He is SO not my type, but I find myself having very naughty thoughts about him at the most inappropriate times......

Yes, it was a bad example now I think about it.

Again, I agree LadyC (I feel I can call you that now that I have bared my soul), I am not generally a man-in-uniform girl either but there is just something about those WWI uniform that get me a bit hot under the collar. I was reading in some article that burberry designed the uniforms and designed them back them too! No wonder they were hot! He has lovely hands too (a most important attribute imo)......

Sometimes when I fantasise about Dave Cameron I hold up my thumb, pad towards me, draw two dots very close together for eyes and a tiny horizontal line for a mouth and suck them off.

Actually, I don't, but I just wanted to share that revolting image.

Eddie Redmayne and that droopy-drawers French girl were so drippy btw. But he doesn't make me shudder.

God no! He's quite sexless.

Michael Bigbender and Tom Hiddleston are another matter

I hit 40 next week Shock and find myself lusting over very youthful looking young men recently.
I also love Matthew Grey Gubler from Criminal Minds, even though he looks prepubescent Blush

Didn't Eddie Redmayne model for Burberry?

He's had collagen in his upper lip, no? He's permanently pouting.

Redmayne and Cumberbatch are friends and mention each other in interviews. So posters trying to get over one by moving on to the other, it probably won't work.

Thanks for that burberry link xkittyx...more to drool over! Though he looks nicer in the pic LadyC posted. God, I'd love to watch birdsong again now purely to perv over him Smile

Wasn't me, guv.

I would love to find a YouTube Eddie pervfest for you but am at work bored and procrastinating and already fear that the IT secret police have got their eye on me. Steamy YouTube action would definitely set off the alarm bells.

aw...boo to being in work LadyC, your time would be SO much better served searching youtube for steamy redmayne action for me Grin.

I had a 'dream' Blush about him last night (I blame this thread), god it was GOOD! Bit embarassing though.....have been trying to relive it in my memory / imagination all day......hmmmmm..........

Jesus, I have it bad, don't I?

Tell. Me. About. It. Feeling particularly unmotivated about work today.

You are lucky re your dream. I have never had a sex dream about Benedict (try as I might), although he's been in a couple of work-anxiety type ones and one in which we danced a quickstep and he had just invited me to tango when the alarm went off Angry.

Report
redmayneslips · 02/02/2012 14:51

Crap, hate it when the alarm goes off at the wrong moment!
The dream was particularly explicit (and I was not exaclty putting up any objection in it either Blush), and he was every bit as good as I'd imagined him to be...oh wait, I DID imagine it...oh well...t'was very nice Grin

Woke up feeling like a silly 16yr old though, and hoping that dh hadn't noticed anything!

That tango was just a gentlemanly prelude to You.Know.What. Next time, therell be no holds barred now that he has broken the ice with you. Of course. Ahem...tmie to go sort out the dishes...sigh...
