He is not even my type! I am worried about myself. I am old enough to be his.. well old enough! But there is just 'something' about him & I am having filthy thoughts about him. I blame bloody birdsong coz I didn't even like him in pillars of the earth.

So, am I alone?

Nope! I don't believe a word of it! I reckon the Taylor Swift thing was all a PR spin for the new movie (and can I say she is not looking her best in that photo) and as for him benig gay.....no way! I don't believe that either

But in exciting other news - my Tess dvd arived this morning Grin
I have, so far, resisted all urges to stick it in the player and abandon all semblence of a normal day and just wallow in it...I am staying strong and shall look forward to it later (when dh is working hehe!) with a nice glass of chilled white to keep me company.

I shall report back later with the verdict (though his hair is all long and floppy looking from the pics on the cover, don't like it like that, prefer it back..hmmm)

Had already linked to DM link early in this thread didn't want to do it again Wink. He was also linked to a Burberry model he did a shoot with. Probably all PR.

Daily Heil, sorry.

Didn't someone say on another thread (thought it might have been on here, but can't find it) that Eddie was gay? He came to do a workshop with some kids at their school or something, and as part of what they were doing told them about coming out to his parents. I was a bit Confused though because even before Taylor S, I'd read that he had a brief relationship with Carey Mulligan ...

Noooooooooooo icapturethecastle...say it isn't true [sob]. What was he thinking indeed! I could never get my head around Jake Gyllenhall and her, so she is on my blacklist

Where'd ya read that??

Did you read about him and his supposed relationship with Taylor Swift (what was he thinking).

Hello LadyC, becaroooo, sozzledchops, icapturethecastle & xkittyx
Any news? All quiet here. Still waiting for the Tess dvd to arrive. Really hoped it would come today as dh is working this evening so I could have oogled watched it in peace. Perhaps tomorrow!

I was reading how Eddie is going to be in the movie version of Les Miserables, I hate that but no doubt will drag persuade dh to go to it Grin

I thought Eddie was looking a bit thinner than usual at the Baftas

He doesn't sound the braying sort of posh though, just nicely articulate.

Failed strikethough Grin. Oh well.

Just thinking that all those things; young, posh etc would normally really put me off someone, I just can't get over what a crush I have on him!

Thanks xkittyx!

He does indeed sound very posh and very pleasant and very down to earth. And he looks very young! I don't recall looking that young at 30, damn him!

If you scroll right down to the bottom there's a clip of some of the interviews and he is one of them. He sounds very posh and very pleasant and down to earth.
Enjoy :)

'quite handsome'??! 'QUITE handsome'? He was absofeckinglutely gorgeous! Oh God. I thought perhaps I was getting over this and settling down to life again and then I saw him and bang - here I am again Grin. I SO wanted him to win so he would come up and make a speech and I could oogle at him some more.

LadyC I can see the attraction to Paul Bettany but he just doesn't do it for me at all either [I seem to be a one-man-crush sorta girl in this instance]

Didn't see him on the red carpet, but he was looking quite handsome sitting in the audience, I thought.

But Paul Bettany was of course the highlight of the night for me. So beautiful. So tall and lean. So good in that suit.

Pity you missed out on those tickets LadyC but I am sure your friend appreciated the Childrens Monologues Wink

sozzledchops Micheal Fassbender is on the Irish Television Awards tonight, I have some friends who are very excited about that. He just does not do it for me at all.

I have ordered Tess of D'Ubervilles from Amazon AND pre-ordered Birdsong, it's not released till 12th March. I can't wait for them to arrive!!!!!!

In fact my main motivation was that I'd previously told a friend I'd queue for day tickets to see Benedict in After the Dance at the NT (she was very keen, keener than me!). I arrived early but not early enough and didn't get us tickets. I felt so crippled by guilt that I just had to take her to the Children's Monologues to try to make up for it a bit.

Re the footage, I think I'd previously seen a lot of it because I've obsessively searched out and watched the original interviews etc that the clips come from. I'm mainly troubled by the cheesy songs these things are always set to, not the idea of watching lots of BC footage. Smile

Aha LadyC, I see why you attended that performance ;-) Clicked on it and Cumberbatch was the first face to pop up Grin I would love to have seen that. I would happily sit through Richard II if Eddie was in it [would keep myself amused during boring bits with my own imagination, ahem]

I am amused (in a nice way) that you cringe at fans videos, yet you had previously looked up the footage ;-) Sounds very like me 'I'm a fan but not like those 'other' fans Grin

I know; who'd have thunk it. Grin I have to admit that fan videos make my toes curl slightly, with their 'I love you' songs as soundtracks [cringe], but if you turn the sound off there are often some gorgeous clips and images to be drooled over.

I toyed with the idea of trying for tickets to see Eddie in Richard II at the Donmar Warehouse; I saw him on stage briefly in this and he was good; would have quite liked to see what he was like in a full-length play. I have to admit that in the end I decided that my non-desire to sit through Richard II outweighed my curiosity about Eddie. Blush [philistine]

Good evening ladies!
becaroooo thanks for pointing me in the direction of Amazon, no idea why I didn't think of that myself Blush. I had a nosey round there earlier and they have ALL the movies/series he has been in. Guess who is going shopping there later They even have Birdsong already so think I might start with Tess and Birdsong. Do you reckon dh will notice the common link?!

LadyC how strange that you had seen most of that footage already ;-) It was very sweet with the soundtrack though, no? I know it that had been Redmayne instead of Cumberbatch I would have probably worn out my laptop playing it by now Grin

No I haven't seen Savage Garden yet, but will get it for sure! One of the best things about this recent development of 'the crush' is that I haven't yet seen most things he has been in. So I have all that to look forward to, yay!

limited I am not sure if you are still checking into this thread, but if you are, check out the latest Heat magazine. Torso of the Week is the swarthy and sweaty Tom Hardy!! You could buy loads of them and make wallpaper out of it nice !!! Grin
