Sick of neighbors sex sounds

This is getting me riled up and I its affecting my sleep.
I live in a condo, and the walls seem to be rather thin.

The neighbor next door, a guy who barely looks at anyone and grunts his hellos, has split from his wife (I guess they split b/c she is never around anymore).
He has a new young asian gf and her squealing and noises WAKE me up. Yes, I am a light sleeper but I am sick of this shit. To get woken up by a woman's sex voice is disconcerting, and worse, its happens all the time.

Last night it woke me up at 12:30 - she was screaming stop it! and Owww! - she sounded on the verge of tears and I guess they have some serious torture play going on, but keep it down! I can hear him say "I love it when you beg" and that type of stuff.

I almost thumped the wall b/c I was so pissed off that they woke me up AGAIN!

I am not going to leave an anonymous note, but a few loud thumps would do the trick right?

And no, they can't hear us when we do it, b/c we are v v quiet! LOL

Seriously, my husband says it would be rude to bang on the connecting wall, but I thinks its better than a note.

What say you?

If she was screaming stop it and owww, I'd have called the police :o

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 13/01/2012 19:22

So would I Sad

Flisspaps · 13/01/2012 19:23

Definitely bang on the wall. They might not realise you can hear.

Alternatively, if you're concerned about her screams (and it may not be torture play) then if it happens again I would call the police and say that I was concerned about the screams from next door and the comments that you could hear. A visit from the police may save her from a nasty situation, or if it is consensual then it might shame them into at least moving into another room or shutting the fuck up.

GrownUp2012 · 13/01/2012 19:25

I'd have called the police and reported it. That way they are dealing with it if it was more serious, and they'll know the neighbours can hear their sex games if it isn't.

I'd also bang on the wall if there were no concerns about safety and it was either a frequent occurrence, particularly loud, or happening at a very unsociable hour.

NearlyMrsCustardsHardHat · 13/01/2012 19:27

Ditto the calling the police thing. Yes you know it's sex but with that kind of language you can report it as a domestic.

Thingumy · 13/01/2012 19:28

What has her race got to do with it?

Hmm.

eatyouwithaspoon · 13/01/2012 19:37

I wondered what her being Asian had to do with it

radstar · 13/01/2012 19:41

Bang the wall! Our previous neighbours did this and I don't think they realised they could be heard.

One night after several rounds and it being about three in morning one bang on the wall was enough to stop them being QUITE so loud, didn't stop them entirely though Grin

LucyGoose · 13/01/2012 19:42

Being asian doesn't doesn't have much to do with it, other than the guy is racist. I should have said "gorgeous asian". And the guy is a big white guy who's ex-wife was also asian, and he doesn't like hispanics or blacks. His ex-wife would have screaming fits at him (that I could also hear) where he called some men the n-word.

NearlyMrsCustardsHardHat · 13/01/2012 19:43

You could do what my sister did to her neighbours and cheer them on...she soon shut up! (the woman on the other side of the wall that is, not my sister)

NearlyMrsCustardsHardHat · 13/01/2012 19:43

Or critique them. Give marks out of 10 or comments like "Nah, not as good as last night"

ShatnersBassoon · 13/01/2012 19:45

Just bang on the wall. Bang on the wall when he's being racist too.

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 13/01/2012 19:46

Yeah, bang on the wall and then yell, 'shut up and rape your gorgeous asian girlfriend quietly!'

Hmm

play the at full volume - should put them a bit off-rhythm!

BalloonSlayer · 13/01/2012 19:52

Hmm seems like calling the police would solve 2 problems

  1. They would realise they were too loud
  1. If this is not "a game" then the woman will have access to help

Would suggest you do this.

Surprised you have not thought of this yourself.

PoppadumPreach · 13/01/2012 19:54

actually would be better

a bit of Black Lace is never, ever good.......

corinewmoon · 13/01/2012 19:57

we had thiis problem with our neighb ours once , we banged on the wall eventually and it stopped , or at least they moved it to their bedroom rather than there front room Grin

DontCallMeFrothyDragon · 13/01/2012 20:02

She woke you at 12:30, screaming "stop it," and "owww," and you're not more concerned that she's OK?...

Hmm

Wow. Glad you're not my neighbour...

BsshBossh · 13/01/2012 20:03

You lost me at "asian" and your follow up post on race/racism makes no sense and seems unrelated to the issue of noise during sex. YABU.

BasilRathbone · 13/01/2012 20:04

Call the police.

There's a good chance that it's not sex play, it's sexual abuse.

If it's not, it'll ensure they keep it down. If it is, it's your chance to help this woman and be part of the solution to DV instead of part of the problem.

BsshBossh · 13/01/2012 20:04

Oh I see. You mean he may deliberately be hurting the woman because he is racist. If that's the case then it nay need more serious intervention...

FabbyChic · 13/01/2012 20:08

Ive had neighbours bang on my walls, made no difference. Move your bed or your room.

GoingForGoalWeight · 13/01/2012 20:10

Are you in the UK?
