I mean, he wasnt really was he? Somewhat rubbery looking if you ask me

I'm sure I read somewhere he had terribly bad breath too ...

I shold explain I've been dipping in and out of Teacher's Pet on TV (Doris Day and Clark Gable) Grin

Give me Yul Brynner/Steve McQueen/James Stewart etc. anyday!

WHAT. THE. ACTUAL. FUCK?

Seriously, WHAT THE FUCK?

My jaw is hanging open. Have you actually read it katie?

pissovski · 21/12/2011 20:03

i've read that (in my teenage year - and not since may i add!)

Gable's ok looking but Brando (esp in Guys and Dolls) make me go funny all over!

KatieScarlettsCrackers · 21/12/2011 20:04

Yes.

Sometimes, late at night, I can still hear Margaret Mitchell screaming..........

MrsRhettButler · 21/12/2011 20:06

It sounds truly terrible in so many ways. I feel tainted just by reading that wiki page.

CokeZeroAddict · 21/12/2011 20:14

Robert Redford in his heyday, and Christopher Plummer. Yum.

forehead · 21/12/2011 20:15

Oliver Reed (young or old) sexy beyond belief
Richard Burton- Lucky Liz Taylor
Paul Newman= gorgeous
Don't rate Clark Cable- slimy looking
Sidney Poitier- Now that's what i call handsome

FellatioNelson · 21/12/2011 20:24

Rock Hudson probably the most handsome man on the planet, but super-gay.

Clark Gable, meh, not fussed either way, but it was not him with the big willy. It was Erroll Flynn.

I have never seen Gone with the wind. How weird is that?

Cary Grant was a dish too.

ElizabethPonsonby · 21/12/2011 20:27

James Mason was a bit of alright Grin especially in Odd Man Out, all tortured anguish, wounded and doomed...

Mirage · 21/12/2011 20:30

I thought of Hollywood Babylon too.It is true that the stars of the past had far more interesting lives than todays bland lot-Robert Downey Jnr excepted.Grin

I love Clark Gable, but he did have a bit of a dodgy past, but I can forgive that,I liked Errol Flynn too and once had a very good friend who looked just like him.

Housewife2010 · 21/12/2011 20:56

Clark Gable - absolutely gorgeous. - Rather old in teacher's Pet, but totally hot in GWTW.
Young Oliver Reed - phwoooarrr
James Mason - gorgeous with an amazing voice. Anyone seen The Seventh Veil where he is a sadistic piano teacher who slams the piano lid down on Ann Todd's hands - but she falls for him anyway! I rather liked him as the dirty old man in Georgy Girl too.
Richard Burton - hot
But my total favourite & the opposite of all this he-man testosterone is the divine Simon Williams in Upstairs Downstairs. His voice, height & moustache = swoon...

That's dire as well.

Gwtw is such an incredible book.

Oh and gable = hot

As does James Mason

Agree re Han solo. I met him divvnt ya naaah? He is very charming in RL. Talked about his knob.

Well I was impressed Grin

GrimmaTheNome · 21/12/2011 21:34

James Mason was versatile - could do hero or sinister villain not to mention Humbert Humbert.

stellarpunk · 21/12/2011 21:34

And I may be straying off topic but Karl urban as bones in the new star trek is hot hot hot!

Whoever would thought bones would be a sex bomb eh? Whereas new kirk is a looker but not a patch on shatner?

what a topsey turvey world!

stellarpunk · 21/12/2011 21:35

Fie for a pox on Humbert grimma!

I give you The Wicked Lady!

Pudden · 21/12/2011 21:38

James Mason was lovely and had the most wonderful voice ever..all velvety and wispa bar-ish.

Oliver Reed in his youth was beautiful as was Richard Burton- they both possessed a very fine pair of eyes

stellarpunk · 21/12/2011 21:51

Oliver reed was incredibly good looking.

sozzledchops · 21/12/2011 21:58

Saw Bourne Supremecy last night and agree Karl Urban is very nice, I did like Kirk in the New Star Trek - he was a very cheeky chappie.

Salmotrutta · 21/12/2011 21:59

It's all in the voice sometimes isn't it ladies?

Now - James Earl Jones, not a looker, but what a voice!
