I mean, he wasnt really was he? Somewhat rubbery looking if you ask me

I'm sure I read somewhere he had terribly bad breath too ...

I shold explain I've been dipping in and out of Teacher's Pet on TV (Doris Day and Clark Gable) Grin

Give me Yul Brynner/Steve McQueen/James Stewart etc. anyday!

I think that was the attitude in the bad old days when it was seen as "OK" to co-erce a wife because she was a man's "property" and needed to be "taught a lesson" Sad

Rock Hudson was gorgeous. I remember him in Magnificent Obsession, the female lead (Jane Wyman?) looked so dowdy by comparison.

Apparently he wanted to deepen his voice and someone advised him to go outside and roar really loudly when he had a bad cold. So he did. And it worked. Or maybe I dreamt that Confused

Weeel Salmon. I was referring to Rock Hudson, but AFAIK Ivor was too, and Clark would do anything to anything (sorry, wife)

Tbf, Clark Gable is only sexy in GWTW, I don't like him in anything else. It's a bit like Jonny only being sexy as a pirate....
