I have a lovely friend called Pam, so to me all Pams are lovely. I was really taken aback recently when I met a Pam who was really horrible. What names have you got stereotypical views of?

PAUL's are without exception (in my experience) quite loony people in one way or another.

At one point my close girlfriends were all called Karen - 3 of them and we hung out together loads. So soft spot for Karens.

PsecretPsanta · 21/12/2011 21:19

Sallys are nice
Fionas are utterly beautiful
James are handsome
Lucys are fun
Marks are decent chaps
Mikes are dependable

thepeoplesprincess · 21/12/2011 21:22

Natalie's are plump with long brown hair and freshly-scrubbed complexions.

I've viewed your prof and am calling you a liar as your name is really Claire.

NoOnesGoingToEatYourMincePies · 22/12/2011 00:00

oooh! DingDong I'm glad you reminded me. Vicky's of any spelling are loud and selfish and want to be the centre of attention ALL THE TIME.

Phil's think they are funny but they are not.

Ryan's are not lacking in the confidence department, and can be slightly tarty.

The Becky I know must be the exception that proves the rule, because she is lovely.

i've seen this thread a few times as I've been a lurker for some time .

JoInScotland · 22/12/2011 20:29

TheFidgetySheep has made some sweeping generalisations, as have a lot of you.

LePruneDeMaTante listed the alleged attributes of Joannes, Joannas and Josephines, but what about Johannas? Of Johnnas? These names exist too....and are shorted to Jo. (We are everywhere - silent invasion style).

NinkyNonker · 22/12/2011 20:44

That is kind of the point of the thread Jo.

KatieScarlettsCrackers · 22/12/2011 20:46

Johannas - Good at bold but shoite at reading threads before posting
