Doing a PGCE, living off my loan and my parents, had to move back in with them to study.

CatPussRoastingByAnOpenFire · 18/12/2011 20:59

I am a cheese and pie seller! I work for Simon the pieman! Grin market stalls, fayres, country shows. You name it, I'm there selling pies. It's great!

squeakytoy · 18/12/2011 20:59

then I wake up, get up, and carry on selling vintage jewellery..

serin · 18/12/2011 20:59

Why do you hate it?

Could you be a foster carer? or private tutor?

I have always fancied being the vicar of Dibley myself Xmas Grin

FabbyChic · 18/12/2011 20:59

I work with figures.

TeapotsInJune · 18/12/2011 21:00

(I'd need one if I sold cheese and pies!)

KenDoddsDadsDog · 18/12/2011 21:00

Account Director in the contact centre industry. I could build you a blueprint call centre out of Lego. Probably.

NinkyNonker · 18/12/2011 21:02

Marketing Manager, retrained as teacher, currently SAHM for few years.

TeapotsInJune · 18/12/2011 21:02

serin I do fancy the idea of foster carer although I'd really need to sort my house out first. Thanks for reminding me of that.

I just feel permanently stressed. We're in notice to improve, the head is stressed, everyone is stressed. It's awful.

I'm thinking "different school" but haven't been at this one all that long and didn't see out my first year due to pregnancy, which wasn't planned (I know, I did feel bad about it, honestly.)

I just can't enjoy Christmas as I feel stressed all the time!

TeapotsInJune · 18/12/2011 21:04

Ninky, do you worry about your pension (that's all DH can talk about; I think he has a touch of OCD at times, I really do!)

Pandygirl · 18/12/2011 21:04

LOL, if you want to move into the private sector you might want to get used to working 10 hour days 48 weeks a year.

But yes, I'd rather do this than work with other peoples children.

Feminine · 18/12/2011 21:04

Was a fashion model for a very ,very long time...

now, I am a sahm :)

ViviPrudolf · 18/12/2011 21:05

What do you like doing OP, what are you good at? What did you want to be when you grew up? Find the honest answers to those questions, and you're halfway there.

Im self employed and contract for most of the big retailers as a fashion graphic designer. S'alright, like Smile

cheesesarnie · 18/12/2011 21:06

im currently a student (and community artist Wink arf)
hopefully in a few years i can put on a thread like this that im a mental health nurse.Grinfingers crossed

YusMilady · 18/12/2011 21:07

I thought a different school was the answer, but it was frying pan/fire. Left 12 years ago and never looked back. Done all sorts since, learned loads. Teaching is a trap.

TeapotsInJune · 18/12/2011 21:09

Mmm, well, I am a very caring person, and have been told I'm a very good writer. My degree is in English.

I wanted to be a vet when I was in primary school! I don't think I have very much chance of that! I suppose I could look into something loosely related (I do like animals, although my own drive me potty on a good day!)

I definitely like the idea of foster carer. I'm also very good computer-wise and know my way around them pretty well: typing and other similar skills are very good.

Ummm ... that is probably it!
