I have name changed for this as i am a regular MNer and i know i really ought to know this Blush but i don't

i read the Sun every most days, i like the vacuous celeb gossip and their easy to understand way of writing (again - Blush ) and the womens section, and the problem pages

what's so bad about it?

'Should the Mail not report it?'

See my post of 12.26 yesterday.

Still not sure what your argument was - that the Mail in the interest of balance should report all the other occasions when claims are not fraudulent then this would not be news surely? You don't expect papers to report all the instances when there aren't any crimes, or bad weather, or natural disasters etc in the interests of balance. Again, my point is that you are claiming to be able to understand that this is the situation but apparently you feel Mail readers are too bigoted or stupid to do so and therefore need their news censoring for them? By the more discerning such as ...?

I think I can read both the Mail and Guardian for interest, I don't necessarily have to sign up to any particular world view as expressed by either of them and it's interesting to read different views. It is unrealistic to expect papers to express all opposing views in the interest of balance, none of them do so, I read the Observer yesterday and didn't find one article supporting David Cameron in order to balance out the many critical of him, why would I?

Also I still say that to many people, perhaps particularly struggling in low paid work, people who cheat on benefits are a cause of resentment. This issue will never be covered by the Guardian, or at least it is not a topic I have ever seen mentioned, so maybe the Sun and Mail are reporting on something that other papers won't but which is an important matter to many people.
